Brazilian Waldo Vieira had his first OBE at age 9.

He has a very dogmatic approach to the astral and his strict interpretation
has caused him some criticism. Nevertheless he is a sharp competitor to
Thomas Campbell, at least when it comes to the length of his beard.

Waldo Vieira (English translated wiki here) was born in 1932 and he has
written several books over the years related to his experiences. Vieira is
big in the Brazilian and Portuguese regions.

Vieira is a scientist and has performed numerous experiments. His followers
mentions Vieira alongside Robert Monroe.

In 1988 Vieira co-founded and was the first chairman of the
International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology (IIPC).

Some of the titles (google English translations) Vieira has (co-)authored are:

Spiritist Conduct (1960)
Blessed Are the Simple (1962)
Heart To Heart (1962)
Sun in Souls (1964)
Techniques for Living (1967)
Projectiology: Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body (1986)
Handbook of Evolutionary Double (1997)
Manual of Megapensenes Trivocabulares (2009)

I haven't read any of his books (I have far to many others to read), but anyone,
and specially anyone who has read Vieira's books in his original language,
please give us a review.

Besides his books, Vieira has written hundreds of articles on projections of
the consciousness.

I have read the english version of his book Projectiology: Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body. It is over 1200 pages in length. It contains practically everything that has been reported in the obe literature up to the time he wrote the book. It is the most complete obe book.

He invented many new words to write the book. This makes the book very hard to understand. The book reads like an encyclopedia. I would only recommend it to someone that wants to learn every small detail about obe's.

This book has a lot of information about the obe separation process. This isn't a book about phasing or astral consciousness. This book is like an expanded version of Sylvan Muldoon's Projection of the Astral Body book.

Thanks todd!

I've been looking W Vieira up a little more. Seems many people like his book
(at amazon) Projections of the Consciousness, 3rd Ed. Vieira seems to be an OBE-only guy,
I haven't found much stuff about other non-physical experiences.

And also, some of the reviewers make the same observation as todd; Vieira
has constructed a lot of words of his own, possible to avoid pollution from
other sources. But it also slows down the reading.

My Portuguese is very poor but it seems that Vieira at of 2011 finished his
big work Enciclopédia da Conscienciologia (Encyclopedia of Consciousness/Conscientiology (?)),
and for those skilled in non-English, there is a youtube of his more than
9000 pages big Encyclopedia. (His beard is really cool.)

Seems like some reading.

Vieira is an MD, so my guess is that his Encyclopedia parts on human biology is more
well worked than his theories about Physics (?).

Here is the table of contents for the book Projectiology: Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body.

http://iacworld.org/files/download/Projectiology-Table%20of%20contents.pdf

It contains almost everything that has ever been written on the topic of OBE's.

I have been re-reading his "Projectiology" book in the last couple of weeks. There is so much information in there that isn't found anywhere else. The author mentioned in the book that he has had 1400 OBE's.

He talks about states of continuous self-awareness where you don't need to sleep anymore, since you can have a continuous self-aware OBE where you can come in and out of the OBE state at anytime to recharge energy without sleep (pages 923 to 931).

I have been doing this lately. I require less sleep now. All I do is get really tired. Then I lay down and use my will to raise my awareness upward through the head and hold it there. After a few seconds, I will get a big jerk or a snapping sound in the head region. My awareness is jolted back into the body, and I feel recharged with energy. I repeat whenever I feel very tired again.

The author also states if you see darkness during your OBE without any visual sense, you are having an external objective experience. He says if you see light and have a visual sense, you are more likely having an internal subjective experience. He states the visual sense is not absolutely necessary to have during an OBE because he says there are multiple consciousness attributes besides just the visual sense.

I haven't read his book at all. I used to use a technique of putting all my focus on my 3rd eye area, trying to activate/awaken the "pineal gland". Then the technique morphed by itself into my focus being a foot over my head. I use this method everyday now to Phase. You kind of lock it in and then release it when you are finished your session and yes you do feel fully energized when you are done. This is why this is my afternoon Phase session tech, not my nighttime one.!  :-)
I do have this on my list of books to read, but that list keeps growing almost everyday, lol.

I read Less Incomplete: A Guide to Experiencing the Human Condition beyond the Physical Body by Sandie Gustus which got me interested in Waldo Vieria and just got his book Projectiology in the mail. Thought it was a brick. It is huge.
