When i have lucid dreams they usually fall under 2 categories

1. I realize I'm in a dream and take over from there, my body feels normal Il have control for like a minute or two.

2. I sort of know or am positive im in a dream and i feel like im passing out and have to sit down, this is followed a pins and needles like sensation and a feeling that my body is really heavy. im also afraid to fully intergrate with my environment and usually snap back.

So, is there a significant difference between them? And is there something I ca do that would increase the chance of me experiencing one over the other?

Be more self confident when lucid. You have power over everything. You are invincible. Train yourself.
You must learn this. Having doubts or worse thinking it won't last will cause catastrophic failiure.
Its getting away from physical world limitations thats required. This isn't easy to do. You must think the physical is slow, safe and very rigid in its constitution.
Within lucid dreaming or projecting yourself away from the physical these restraints do not exist whatsoever. Its getting used to their being two personalities of yourself, one fixed and rigid for the physical and the other very pliable to suit the many environments you may encounter.
Example,
You're in a lucid dream state and visiting a local store with a friend. You'd automatically treat things as in the physical, but, theres nothing stopping you moving things around by telekinesis or even running your hand down the shelves messing up the place. Then when security come running outside and flying away.
Obviously this is not a good thing to do but you have the option.
The trick is REALISE this.
It automatically puts your concentration high and you'll stay with it far longer.
Trust yourself to do it at least once, youll never look back from the experience.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

i see what you mean, its more of me being afraid of not being in control

Iv noticed also what you may refer to the two personalities, because iv noticed when im lucid, im not exactly myself, its like different parts of my brain are working opposed to the ones that normally work.

Being that this only sporadically happens i only have that limited time to train myself
