Is there truely away to minipulate your dreams? if so please tell me or refer me to a link as i wish to know how to do this.
also is there anypoint to reacurring dreams?
Do you mean lucid dreaming?
Recurring dreams are sometimes our subconscious trying to communicate something to us we may not consciously understand or perceive. It can be a way to deal with hidden issues that are hard to face.
oh thanks
and i mean just anydream i have a hard time telling the differance between a dream and real life my dreams are very realistic looking,
like last night i was walking in the rain at night and a kid came up and asked if he can have a cigerette so i said no of course, next thing i know another kid called me dad and we started talking.
i've also read somewhere that you have to realize that you are in a dream state, how do you do that? i usually can't control my thoughts during dreaming.
one method is to start a dream log i forget how it works but if you look into it im sure you will find the answer
ah i see, i've looked it up on wikipedia and now i understand, so by writing in a dream journal i would come to realize that i am dreaming eventually, because by writing things down the mind can remember more, like home work only with dreams. thank you.
no problem glad i could help ^^
If you could ask yourself the question "Am I dreaming?" in a dream and answer it: "yes!" Then you are going to have a Lucid Dream, where you are just as aware as you are now reading this - and you could eg. fly to the skies like Superman...
There are many methods for being able to do this, like doing reality checks in the day or doing suggestions before going to sleep.
A good site for any questions are: www.ld4all.com
Yeah I Kind of got that but thanks for your help none the less. I've been trying to remember when i'm asleep by remembering the last thing i've done however thats easyer said then done.
I'm also trying to achieve lucid dreams. I decided to reality check everytime i went into a room. Somehow it just doesn't work... maybe its because i have to go through 2 rooms to go to the toilet  and i go there quite often :-D
So now i do reality checks whenever i think of doing them. I have also since yesterday decided to go through a free 14 day mini-course called "infinity". That should have around a 100% succesrate (!) so its worth trying.

Keep posting on how it goes.
I've only been close to a lucid dream, I'm a treky and in one dream I had
I was in the auditorium at my old school in my dream and thier was millions of people in my dream including data and worf, and some old women that i've never seen before, well data started saying demonic things about santa clause, no surprise there but I didn't want to hear it so durring his blabering I sorta did what Riker usually did, I said. "Hey! data, I don't think they want to hear that." then next thing I new, I froze the imagery and I saw a snow hut with demonic horns at the top, I thought to my self this Is impossible, then the dream continued. so thats as close to a lucid dream I've ever had. and let me tell ya, seeing that snow hut with demonic horns at the top was extremly frightening.
he he some dreams you really wouldn't want to become conscious in :-( then again if you had control of the dream you could dream up a gigantic laser-beam-neutron-cannon-disintegrator-kind-of-weapon and just blow the demon away - or you tell him to sit and, roll over and throw a stick for him to fetch :-D
:? yeah anyway, I would say the best way to have a lucid dream is to command your subconscious to alow you to observe the dream kinda like in the third person, then when you see something you want to change command the change and it will happin similar to when I froze the imagery in that dream, then after you do that command to "open your minds eyes" or something to go out of body, i've been trying to do this for a while.
That sounds interesting. Do you remember where you read about it?
I didn't read it anywhere, i'm speaking from self experiance. In all my dreams i start in first person, then I go to third person.
ok i hope it is working for you.
This morning i woke up and couldn't remember any dreams at all. I was very dissapointed because i had listened to a Lucid-dream-hypnosis MP3 2 times (25 minutes each), looked at my hands for 10 minutes while saying "next time i'm dreaming i will look at my hands and realize that I'm dreaming" i repeated it while dozing of to sleep - and then nothing happened?!? :x (have also been doing reality-checks all day)
Now i have just had a 1 hour nap and think i experienced a lucid dream, kinda - cause it didn't feel "right".
I remember that everything wasn't very clear - but i "woke" up in my dream in my bed and i looked at my hands. I saw they were very blurry and looked unreal - I thought "I'm dreaming" and i was conscious but the surroundings was still my bedroom and not very clear. I felt as if my body was resisting - and couldn't get up - i said to myself: "float up" and repeated a few times but nothing happened. I tried to pull my finger to see if i could pull it out of shape, but i couldn't - I thought that maybe i was having some sort of Out of body experience sat up and tried to look around to see my body lying in bed, but i couldn't - and at this time i woke up. Pretty desorientated...
It was strange, but I think I'm getting there - as i was very conscious about looking at my hands and pulling my finger, but still it was odd that it seemed as if I was still in the "Real Time Zone" and not in a dream-environment. I have been trying to go out of body for 6 months + so maybe i have been reading and thinking so much about that my dreams reminds me of OBE's??
ok Kurai Kokoro sorry for babbling, i'm glad if you took time to read this.
yeah I did, and perhaps it was because you was awake for a few seconds and remembered but then fell back asleep. who knows.
