OK Ive studied lucid dreaming alot and have become completely conscious and in control on many occasions
the way i do this is by asking myself everyday in waking life "am i dreaming is this a dream" and then looking for triggers that i might be dreaming things like reading words as when dreaming words tend to move around and change to other things
i also look for out of the ordinary things like being with celebrity's or being on a pirate ship or being in a out of place setting like a desert
ask yourself this question everyday and 95% of the time the answer will be no I'm not dreaming i am awake
eventually your sub conscious will have got in the habit of asking this question and you will think it while in a dream and something will be out of the ordinary you will notice some kind of trigger
at this point when i start to become conscious that I'm dreaming i look down at the back of my hands and this triggers full consciousness and complete control to do what ever i like.
flying is usually the first thing i do it feels amazing and you wake up feeling exilerated
sometimes holding on to that consciosness can be quite difficult and the lucidity can begin to fade i have read that spinning around in your dream is a good way to regain lucidity i have only tryed this once it did work and lengthened the dream a little but then i awoke
hope you find some of these tips usefull
