Title: Another Cruise Ship?...
Post by: Stookie on February 26, 2007, 11:42:13
I've been having a string of dreams for the past year or two where I'm on a cruise ship. The content in the dreams change, but the cruise ship constantly reoccurs. I've never been on a cruise ship in real life.

I know it's best that I make meaning of my own dreams, but I can't grasp any symbolism for being on a cruise ship. Any ideas?

Maybe the ship itself represents your path through life (and if you ever navigate it it could mean taking the reins) and since it's a cruise ship (I'm assuming you're not alone) maybe your social-ness (for lack of a better term) is affecting your path, or something..

Hmmm, that's a possibility. Maybe it's showing me that everyone's in the same boat and there are individual problems on the boat, but we're all going to the same place in the end.

Except for the guy I threw overboard in one dream.

 :-D haha :-D

All I can say is it definatly has meaning, and probably would really help you if you could understand it. I personally associate materialism and the whole stupid social status thing with cruise ships.

Hi Stookie,

Just an idea...but maybe it could be that you are currently stressed or unhappy regarding something and deep within you want to be able to take off on a cruise and just not be responsible for everyday life? Throwing the man overboard could be just a form of wanting to get rid of a burden?

Like I said....just an idea  :-)

I like your ideas, guys...

This dosen't seem right, because right now I'm far from stressed. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm on a constant vacation. Life is fun - and kind of surreal.

QuoteI personally associate materialism and the whole stupid social status thing with cruise ships.

That could be. I'm fairly anti-social. That may be a bad term - I just don't connect well with main-stream society. I tend to do my own thing. In most of the dreams I have some sort of problem to deal with and run around the boat trying to find/do something. It might be showing me my lack of connection with others in society. But like all my personal dream interpretations, I don't need a dream to tell me something that obvious.

I think thats it, the cruise ship is a symbol of society in your life, and quite a good symbol. As people wander around the ship trying to go thier own way they are still on the ship, society, and are forced to go in the direction of society. Did you ever feel like you wanted to get off the ship? I think thats what it is about; perhaps you have to make some life changes in order to advance.

The man you pushed overboard must have been something or someone you found unacceptable in your life.

If you happened to observe the people on the ship I think you would find some interesting things.

Hey, check out my dream  :-) I dont know what dreams are supose to be like but mby its interesting.
