I'm confused about a dream meaning. >_<

Okay, this is what went on. I was with a group of people, and we were all being given rp roles that fit us. Someone gave me a symbol that looked like a mask that covers the entire head. It kind of makes me think about a character type in a game I used to play where one character had a mask, but it didn't seem to have any relevence within the dream. ^_^; I asked what it was, and they said something about giving wine to people. I went to the person who trains characters with that symbol, and  he told me something along the lines of taking good care of wine, making sure it was red, and throwing it out if it was green. Then he handed me a bottle of red wine.

I think he mean throwing it out if the grapes that were supposed to be red were green, because when those kind of grapes are still green they are sour?


Oh, and by rp, I mean that it was some kind of role-playing game at the start of the dream.  >_< I'm mega confuzzled on this one.

Well, a wierd enough dream. I've been looking it up in dream dictionaries, but I can't seem to make any sense of it.

Well, it does seem to be a dream of meaning - there are many symbols and suggestions within your dream.

Here are just a few things that came to my mind whilst I read your post.  As you may know, the only person who can fully interpret your dream is you, because only you really know what any of the symbols mean to you.  This is why dream dictionaries and the like are not great, because they are too generalised.

Firstly, you say rp roles that fit you.  And you were given a mask.  This suggests that you are hiding your true self behind a false facade.  This is not unusual - most of us do this to some extent throughout our lives.  Whether it be make-up, clothes or whatever, we tend to hide our true identity, possibly because we fear we won't be accepted.

Next thing - giving wine to people.  Now this may mean that you are serving others, or a waitress.  Alternatively (and this is one of those great gifts to remember with dreams), look at it cryptically or laterally, think outside of the box.  Perhaps they meant, giving whine to people.  Are you a moaner?  Do you tend to talk about your worries/anxieties to others?

Next.  Red wine.  Hmmm.  This depends what red wine actually means to you, personally.  Do you see it as good/bad.  Poison or good for you?  Red too - a strong colour.  Do you like red as a colour?  What does the colour red represent to you?

Likewise, think about the colour green.  What does it mean to you?  White wine is created by using green grapes, (so you also need to ponder on the colour white), however as you rightly say, red grapes are green coloured if they are not ready.

I will stop now as there is far too much imagery for me to comment on - too many angles to think about.

If it was my dream, I'd break each section down and work out what they meant to me, and hopefully a picture would emerge.

Oh, one last thing, while you are thinking about the meaning of this dream, also take into account your emotions and feelings while you were dreaming it.

I was running out of ideas when I thought about it on my own, and hearing someone else is really helpful. I know that dreams have personal meanings, but I always get so confused when I go at it on my own. XD

Well, what you said about the mask does fit. Lately I have seemed to be getting farther and farther from my true self, and on the internet in particular I have seemed to have a whole different persona.

As for the whole wine and grapes thing, I've started to see what might be the meaning. In the last few months I've been completing the process to get into school and become a nurse. When I was younger, I always associated red wine with someone trying to cure an ailment. I haven't looked it up, but I'm pretty sure that in the past people drank it when they had sever colds, etc. In fact, I'm pretty sure that in my favorite nursery rhyme someone gave another person a bottle of red wine when they were sick. XD

It took a bit of thinking to come up with that, and it may or may not be it. I also tend to be outspoken/complaining, so that might in fact have something to do with it to. ^_^ Anyhow, than you very much.
