I'm in the process of learning to LD. I have started a dream journal and can remember some of my dreams. However my dreams are sooooo boring lately. I seriously dream about normal everyday life things. Like going to work, talking to people I know, nothing that it's out of the ordinary. So how do you suppose I will realize I'm dreaming if the dream scenery is a mimic of my everyday scenery?

The weird thing is that I'm an artist and very creative, so why are my dreams so dull at the moment? It hasn't always been this way, just the last few weeks.

That was written by a friend over on the Astral Viewers.
He summarized really well how to have lucid dreams.  :)

.

One thing you can try: if there is something in your daily routine that comes up in dreams more than others, begin to associate that with awareness of dreaming. Every time you encounter it during the day, question yourself as to whether your dreaming or not. Make note of everything around you and prove to yourself it isn't a dream. If you do it enough, hopefully the activity will carry over into your dreams and you'll question it then as well.
