Hey everyone .. I can't keep ignoring these dreams I keep having.. I sleep for insanely long hours of the day sometimes and it seems like the longer I sleep , the more of these little short snippets of dreams actually come true in one way or another..  They are never exactly like I see them happening but they are so out of the blue and when they show up I just cant help but relate that part of the day to something I dreamed about the very night before.. So far each little premonition as i lable it does not happen a day or two after.. its usually that very day after I wake up .. which kinda has me paranoid about any of my dreams.

Example: I dreamed of me shooting targets with a military rifle .. I was at my house shooting these targets up close in the living room.. the dream lasted just a few seconds but was very vivid..

I go to the mall that day and they have this tent set up from the National Guard and inside the tent they have this same military rifle and an LCD screen in the distance that you use the gun to shoot these targets in a field.

Example: I'm holding a baby kitten that has this strikingly beautiful gray colored fur that I havent seen before on any cat.

I wake up and the neighbor outside says Hi and I pet her dog and ask her if it bites.. then she says "No but I'll get the one that does" , out comes my neighbor with her full grown gray colored cat .. same exact color I dreamed about.

Example: I dream my mother hands me a pair of pajama pants that I've always had but for some reason in the dream they were supposed to be new..

I wake up and my mother is going through a bunch of old stuff and comes across my favorite pajama pants that I havent seen in forever and even hands them to me the same way they were folded in the dream... except they were in no way the same color or type of pajama pants.. but the feeling of the pants being Not , "new" but discovered once again was similar to the dream I had.

Example: I dreamed I took a new picture for my license.

I woke up and my roomate comes in and starts talking to my mother about how he just got his new license picture made.

Theres tons of other things but I cant remember anymore off hand..  The odd thing is that , I'll hardly remember any of these dreams until something during the day triggers them back to my memory and when it does its like BAM  total Deja Vu...  except its never exactly how I dream it .. but I feeling that comes over me when I remember them from experiencing something that day really is hard for me to ignore..

Has anyone else experienced stuff like this and is there anyway to get a more clear picture of these dreams and maybe start having them either more often or start having them so that I'll be seeing things how they really will appear throughout the day?  Any ideas?  Thanks

I was actually going to start a thread on this earlier today. Over the last few months I've been having a significant number of Deja Vu's (DJV). Some of them are of recent dreams and others are of ones I've had in the past. I had one while writing a thread to which made me think of it.

It's hard to explain the nature of a DJV. To me simply saying "Something that you have already seen before" just doesn't cut it. To me there is something non-visual about DJV's. Something that not only relates to what you are seeing, but a feeling like you had in the dream/preminition. A sense in the environment.

During these 'types' of dreams I've noticed as well how slippery there are. More than usual. It's as if they are forgotten and awaiting to be reactivated when the time comes to pass in the 'real world'. Sometimes they occur at totally irrelevant times as well. Not necessarily before something extravagant but often things that are simpler. Like taking something out of the car and someone is standing in a certain position saying something while the wind blows and a glass smashes then boom "I've seen this before".

I totally can relate to what your saying..

"Something that not only relates to what you are seeing, but a feeling like you had in the dream/preminition."
Like in my dream I was handed a pair of the same old pajamas I'de been wearing but I was told they were new.. and when I woke up , that same day my mother found my favorite pajama pants I havent worn in a year and althoug they werent new either , I still felt similar when recieving them as I did in my dream.

And I agree on them beeing sort of slippery as well because there has only been a select few times where I've woken up and recalled the dreams I had and then they show up.. Most of the time I recall the dreams after something riggers them during the day and the feeling I get is total DJV.

I get kinda paranoid though because I never know when my dreams are going to be real or not .. but I wouldnt have it any other way.  Its just another interesting factor in my life to deal with.

I think it's not only that they are slippery but also the fact that your not sure which ones you should actually be paying attention to. Some of them come into reality and others don't, which you never really 'hear from' again.

It is also not clear why they happen at all, are they signposts to some spiritual development or merely some accidental precog alignment?

Here's a few sites that might help

and

http://mb-soft.com/public/dejavu.html

"Deja Vu is different from these other phenomena, by definition. A person who experiences Deja Vu does not have any clue whatever that something is GOING to happen (like Precognition), but merely has the sensation (during and afterward) of having already experienced the scene." Good point.
