Disturbing dream. Please help?

Before I begin the dream proper, I should note I've been trying to achieve lucidity on and off for the last couple of years, with no real success. Granted, I haven't really taken practice as seriously as most other forum members who seem to "get it." Nevertheless, this was one of the strangest dreams I had in a long time. Please bear with me...

So, basically, throughout the entire dream I was stalked in a embellished replica of my childhood home by a butcher knife-weilding psychopath. The psychopath manifested in the form of my supervisor at work, who is actually a real cool guy. From the beginning of what I can remember, the psychopath had already cut me up pretty good. The skin on my upper body was virtually gone. Don't remember the condition of the lower body clearly, but I could definitely walk and run. I was being chased and continually repeating a process of escape and capture. The psychopath's arsenal also included some kind of thin tube which drained my blood.

Now, here comes the "strange" part. I remember knowing I could become lucid at this point because I was dreaming. I remember that, yes, the dream became clearer. I began to levitate. Thinking I now could exercise control over the dream, I wanted to incapacitate the psychopath, who had chased me down again, by shooting an electrical charge at him (it was the first thing I could think of).

When I tried to do just that, I felt the energy failing me. Oh, no, I thought. That's when the psychopath mocked me, and used the term "human" with a bigoted tone. "Human, you have no idea what you're doing when you're "here"." Or something to that effect.

And then I remember him going on about somebody being incarnated as a "god," who, when killed in waking life, the world (or as he put, "the game") ends, and everything starts over again. I don't really understand this part, yet I remember it.

He also says he is a teacher.

After that, he delivered what would be the death blow. He knocked me down, and I took a butcher knife in the chest and a butcher knife down my throat. That woke me up in a cold sweat, and I wrote down as much as I could remember.

Please help me make sense of this...

I wish my friend Shakti Das was here, he could help you with this.  I am afraid I cannot offer much, but I can say last week I too had the strangest, freaky, TOTALLY not normal night of dreams ever.  It is not entirely unlike yours, not quite AS horrific but awful, and deeply affecting all the same.  I couldn't figure out exactly where it all had come from either.  It is not the way I normally dream and for the first time ever I had to ask if there were some sort of interference coming through.

I hope someone pops in here with some assistance for you.

Unfortunately, I have not remembered anything else from the dream. I also have no new insights. This dream really caught me off guard with its vividness and its violence.

This also isn't the first time I've become lucid and shortly afterward the dream would end by "another's" will (usually by a flood).

Goodness, it would catch me off guard too!- mine caught me that way as well.. 

There are so many people here it surprises me that noone has experienced a dream of this nature, who can help.  When I first began having consciousness experiences in the night last year, lucid dreams, OBEs, etc.. I noticed I tended to have 'scary' type dreams early on in the evening.  Not so icky as the one I had last week, but, you know, just the general 'has that flavor' sort of thing.  It surprised me when I started being aware of MANY more dreams in the night because prior to this I had not known myself to have this type of dream.  What I remembered of the vast majority of my dreamstate had always been exceedingly pleasant.  So, surprise surprise.


All this said,

Your dream lends me the feeling of it being fueled by something much more than your usually energy.
(mine are very often fueled by the kundalini, just to say)

I may not be much help but I had a some what similar dream a few months ago.

I was also in a house that I grew up in and was being chased by some hideous looking evil thing. Just when it was about to finish me off I felt the energy of total rage and fear rush through my whole body from the feet up.

I raised my hands and concentrated the energy into my hands and rushed towards Mr.Bad butt and shot lightning bolts out off my palms and blasted it into nothing. Then I woke up in a cold sweat but I felt good that I had confronted it head on and came out victorious.

I felt like I had passed some sort of test or over came a fear hurdle of some sort.

Sorry I don't have much to offer in the way of help. Your dream just reminded me of mine.

What do you mean "a real cool guy"?? Could you please describe him a bit? Do you know of any bad things this guy does? sin? If he seems like a good guy at work, that doesn't mean anything. Is he a believer, atheist?? Do you discuss these things with him?? Get back to me.

The psychopath is evil and of the devil and the devil is trying to lead you to perdition and to death. He has already have some kind of power over you since he already cut your upper skin but you are lucky you still have your lower body and can still escape. You still have a chance. The tube to drain your blood means the devil is trying to drain your spiritual life. He is trying to take away the life that you have left in you.

You remembered you could become lucid means NOTHING at all. You think it's a game, and it's not. It's a message of God and He wants it to be clear. You have no control over it and you don't know what you are dealing with here. The demon answered you mocking you "Human, you have no idea what you're doing when you're "here"". God is waking you up my friend. He is telling you to wake up and go back to Him NOW!!!

Are you serious?? You don't understand this!!!??? Have you being living under a rock for the last 2000 years?? This is JESUS CHRIST my friend.. Who else could be God incarnate??? Killed in this waking life??? The game of evil and good truly changed when He was crucified, yes because Jesus defeated satan at the cross. Very good insight here. "Everything starts over again": After the resurrection Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the disciples and now those led by the Holy Spirit can defeat the powers of darkness. This was not possible before Jesus came which is why the "game" changed.

He also told you, HE IS A TEACHER. It's JESUS my friend, the LORD!!

My friend, I don't know if I have been bold in this message and I am sorry if I did but it strikes me that you can't see God in it. GOD IS ALL OVER IT..

Hello Ryan, I actually really loved this forum and I just registered today. I believe many dreams are from God and from Jesus Christ. I am not trying to push my beliefs on anyone but it's clear God is speaking to scatterbrain. If I am not gonna help, nobody will because of these rules. I realize we got to a point where we can say whatever crazy things as long as it's not God. If I am gonna try to help some people with the meaning of their dreams I have to say what I think is the truth... If that is not consistent with the rules of this forum then I will gladly leave.

But I understand why people go against Jesus. I am glad I had this experience here and I am glad I am leaving this place and this forum.

I don't believe Jesus Christ existed.
Literally or figuratively.

This is why we try to keep all religious connotations out of our posts.
Because you can't please everyone all of the time... so don't try.

I can imagine Jesus as a knife-wielding killer, but chances are, this is a psychic predator (and a low-life) getting into scatterbrain's dreams. It happens. That's why we have nightmares, and why lucidity doesn't always help.

There are defenses, though. They hate it when you return the favor and get into THEIR mind, identifying them, revealing how stupid they are, laughing at them. Things like that.

As a matter of fact I had a nuisance get into my dreams a few hours ago. I'm pretty proud of how I handled it. He had me in a dark basement, and I couldn't move, but I actually overpowered the paralysis and got away. It's clear that these predators aren't invincible
