About four weeks ago I started having these scary dreams about being raped. I have never been raped, molested, or anything like that, but in these dreams I simply knew I had been raped. The dreams didn't all go the same way every night, but the theme was the same in all of them-I was raped by someone older than me from school (not the same person each time). I also thought this was strange because I'm a bit of an insomniac, so when I do sleep, I usually don't remember my dreams so clearly. Two weeks ago I started doing a little more meditation before I sleep and this seemed to help, but then I had one of these dreams last night. Any ideas on what's been causing them? how to stop them?
These are probably caused by negative entities that feed on your emotions. Good shielding will solve the problem.
Thanks CaCoDeMoN. That's what one of my friends thought it was too. I'm kind of a newb to psychic barriers-I've only tried a few- any recommendations on how to better protect my self?
Do you know how to enter a trance?
Like CaCoDeMoN said it could be a neg. If you are raped during the dream it could be an Incubus. But if you do not dream of the actual rape than odds are its not.
If it is an Incubus, than simple precautions can be taken as suggested in RB's Practical Psychic Self Defence: Fresh sliced garlic in your room, play soft classical music throughout the night, leave a light on, etc.
According to Gustavus Hindman Miller's Dictionary of Dreams:
QuoteFor a young woman to dream that she has been the victim of rape, foretells that she will have troubles which will wound her pride and her lover will be estranged.
I think that all dream dictionaries are 100% fiction, designed just to entertain naive people. If anything from them would come true, then only beacuse people believe in this.
If entity feeds of negative emotions, life fear, it cannot be called incubus. Entities like incubus are designed to give a sexual pleasure for energy, not to do harm to people. I think that methods like playing music, using garlic or leaving the lights on should be used only when shielding fails, because they may be annoying.
If you know how to enter a trance, I can give you a good shielding method.
CaCoDeMon, yes I have entered trances once or twice before, briefly, but effectively. That was a while ago, but I'm sure I could do it again. So, if you could post that method, I would be forever grateful. :D I have checked out some dream dictionaries to try and cope with this, but as you said, I don't believe them at all, and most of them didn't include stuff on this sort of thing.
This is very easy. Just enter into a trance, then imagine that your room is covered with 1meter x 1meter plates of blue steel, connected with rivets. They should cover whole room, with windows, doors, floor and ceiling. Imagine this for about 30 seconds, then declare(in your thoughts): "Only I can be in this room on this night, everyone and everything else cannot, even if I let them". You should repeat it few times, and then imagine that no one else is in the room and you are completely safe in it. For me it stopped the nightmares(sometimes extremely scary), before I've had them every night and had to sleep with light on.
I thought that it can be possibly useful only for me, because I've invented it, but I gave this shielding method to few persons, and for them it worked very well.
Please report back when you will try it, and tell me if it works for you.
Coolbreeze,
A shielding method that I use is to extend my aura, and make it hard and spiky on the outside (like a porcupine). I find this helps if I feel that there's a neg around while I'm trying to go to sleep (and I'm too tired to get up, find it and get rid of it). If that's not effective enought, you can try extending your aura (still in porcupine form) to fill the entire room. Generally, if something was in there, it won't come back after experiencing that
Let me know if you need more detailed instructions, since you say you're new to this sort of thing.
Badwuv and I were talking and she said I better post this on the forum, so here goes:
The first 3 or 4 dreams I had between 3 and 2 weeks ago and all had to do with people I know. Other than the fact I remembered them very clearly (I usually don't ) and the fact that they were frightening, they felt like normal dreams. I felt kind of in control, like I knew what was going to happen, but couldn't control it totally (semi-lucidity).
The dream I had recently, while the same about the raping part was different. It wasn't about anyone I knew. My mind just created a completely different, new person. And the dream's quality was wild, everything was all over and I had no control whatsoever over any of it. The dream also felt happy, but when I woke up it scared me pretty bad. That kind of stuff just isn't like me.
I just thought the difference might be important...
Tonight I am going to try the shielding CaCoDeMoN suggested because its a new one for me. I have played with my aura before, making it hard and such, and I'm really not sure if it worked or not. So I'll get back to you.
The dream felt happy??? If it is so, then it can be a succubus.
Try to gain control over the dream. It sounds easier than it is, but the most effective method I know of is to create a trigger that reminds you that this is merely a dream. This will only work if the trigger is as deep as your subconscious. For example, you probably know how to walk from one point of your house to another through a dream because your subconsciousness knows it. You've done it that many times.
So identify something concrete that always happens (if you're visual, take a visual cue; if you're tactile, take a tactile clue). During the day, every time you think about that cue, imagine yourself overcoming the rape. You can choose anything funny or weird (turning into liquid, evaporating, going through the person as a ghost does, etc...) The funnier or weirder, the more impact it has and the more probable it will imprint inside your brain. Keep trying to do this at least 3 times a day at random times and within a month or so, you will likely overcome the problem altogether. Don't expect to turn into a ghost or anything during your dreams, but you can expect something in your mind that says "that's not right" and it should give you more or less the feeling of relief.
I'm not a dream expert, this is more like a trial-error type of thing =)

Yes, the last dream felt happy. CaCoDeMoN, I tried the shielding thing you posted last night and I think it worked. I felt sick once I finished, but that might not have had anything to do with the shielding. I don't have the dreams every night, so I can't be sure, but I'm pretty sure it worked. There are also some methods of protection people posted on the Psychic Protection forum, and I've been playing around with some of those too. Thanks.
Good. Try to use it every night before sleep. If you felt sick once you finished, this is probably because the shield consumes some amount of energy.
Coolbreeze,
If you felt sick aftewards from using more energy than you're used too, try drawing in energy from the room around you before or after you shield. I'd say before, tho, then if that helps, your sick feeling can be prevented altogether. Good luck ;p

You are right. New Energy Ways would be really good for this.
Its probably not a neg. Dreams aren't straight forward and literal as they appear to be, as interpretations offer very different explanations.
Being raped could mean you feel taken advantage of, or that someone has hurt you. School could represent that you are feeling this in a place where you are trying to learn and grow, probably in a relationship between someone.
Perhaps it is a group of people, or not a person inparticular as there is no one identifiable or static in the dreams.
This NEW stuff will help you focus and center your energy and what not, but I think that anything achieved that way would probably because of a placebo effect, dealing with negs and all. I would reccomend trying to decipher the dream for yourself, and try and understand how it relates to your life and the peopel / events in it. When you can understand what your subconsiouss is saying to you, you can work to balance out and solve the problem.

How is music, leaving the lights on, or garlic going to stop a non-physical being?
Logic, I really have to disagree with you on the neg thing. I am a pretty happy, optimistic person and I do not feel in ANY way that I am being taken advantage of. I did examine that prospect of it and the only possible thing that I could attribute this dream to other than a neg would be not getting enough sleep. I don't see any reason not to believe in negs, in fact in most of my life, there has probably more in support of their existence. However I do agree that music and garlic probably would not stop it. That's just a medieval superstition. I believe to protect yourself you must use your own energy and have a genuine belief and will to stop what's hurting you.
Badwuv and CaCoDeMoN, I have been looking into the NEW Energy system and doing a little work with it over the past couple days and am really enjoying it :D
I've seen a neg twice during astral projection, and can say that they are real. Also I've had a neg attachment, and it caused extreme problems. Also experiences of many people seem to confirm existence of negs. Even Robert Bruce says they are very real.
I can't say if garlic really works, but I've never experienced neg attack when eating it. The bad thing is that it can't stop already attached neg.
Hello Logic,
I disagree with you. I'd say that Negs do exist, considering how often I've come in contact with them, even before I knew what they were..
Anyway, I rarely use garlic, onions, vinegar etc. but they are what's known as energy disrupters. They "disrupt" the energy in the ether/astral planes (depending on which you use). Running water, steel, and silver do the same thing.
Example:
I was washing the dishes when I sensed a prescence in the room. It felt like more than one entity and they came up behind me and proceeded to poke, prod, and pass through my (physical) back (rather uncomfortable). I ignored them for about ten minute, and after this didn't stop, I asked them to go away, putting emphasis on the fact that I was getting seriously annoyed. they didn't. I had washed the cutlery before they came, so I turned around and went to grab a steel spoon out of the drying rack. As soon as I had it in my hand, they left.
I don't know when this was first discovered, but yes Coolbreeze, it was a common known fact that steel and iron kept away (minor) spirits at least. From my own experience, I can say that it does little to affect something more than a garden variety neg.
What makes you think "negs" are seperate entities and not negative aspects of youreslf?
Logic, I can't really say either way if negs are part of us or not, never having had a full projection, but my experience leans toward the 'They are Not" side because of experience I believe that negs are part of a separate entity. Ever just get that feeling when you were a little kid that something was there, some thing not good, frightening and foreign? Let me remind you that children are more in touch with the astral. Little kid fears have to come from somewhere and I think most kids around 3 or 4 are too innocent to have created a 'dark' part of themselves yet. I can see where you're coming from, Logic, but the theory doesn't all fit into place for me.
What makes you think children are more in touch with the astral?
Quote
What makes you think children are more in touch with the astral?
They are because unused senses slowly degrade, and when parents are telling them that there's nothing there over and over, so they forget to use their perception. Also ther is a good neg sighting story here:

QuoteWhat makes you think children are more in touch with the astral?
When I was young (3years old?) I had at least 3 instances that may have been astral projections that I remember. There may have been more that I didn't remember, but I am absolutely positive that one of those was a projection. I can recall it very clearly and it had the same sensation that an OBE does. The thing is I didn't have to think about it, it just happened. I'm not the only person this has happened to either. A couple of my friends, including Badwuv have reported having projections when they were little.
Yes, and also children have strong psychic senses left over from when they intutitively communicate with their parents (especially mother) before they can talk coherently.
It's like how if you were to live in a dark cave for a long time and not use your eyes, you would go blind.
Atleast coolbreeze is using personal experience.
Nice of you to point that out, Logic.
When I was young I intuitively knew that my house was "haunted"(for lack of a better word) by what I called ghosts, even though I really only knew of the sheet version. Also, I remember clearly two times when I OBEd and vague bits and pieces of other occasions.
I hope that's better. Anyway, I have only OBEd twice since then, both by accident. Point being, it was second nature as a little child.
