Back in time LD that I could not convert to OBE

I don't usually pay much attention to my dreams, but boy, was this one unique!!!!! :-o
I have had many dreams where I was back in high school or college, but never questioned anything. I would wonder after I wake up. But early this morning I fund myself in a dream where I was just signing my application to start high school. There were many of my class mates there just as I remember them signing their applications as well. Then I said "Wait a minute, why am I back in high school. I have already graduated and I even have a college degree." I started panicking and asked the person next to me what year it was. And sure enough it was not 2013 lol. At that time I was not realizing that I might be having an OBE. But I was remembering my entire life up to this day. I new I was a gown up and even lived in another country. And all of a sudden I was 15 again. Then to calm myself down I said to myself "Well, at least I will never get old if I keep repeating my high school and college life, and I will pass all the exams without studying because I already know the material. That will be fun lol." So, few scenes took place and all of a sudden I realized that I may be in an OBE state. As usual I asked to fly (this is my typical conversion moment when I lift up few feet off the ground by request to check my reality), but guess what, It did not happen. I kept repeating fly, fly, lift up, and nothing. I could not change a thing in my environment. Then I started panicking even more and I thought " Finally something supernatural has happened in my waking life, I cant believe this".
Then at some point the dream really took control and I found Harry Potter to be my friend and there were some scenes with him using is wand  :-D. And the school looked more like Hogwarts at the end lol. So, that was my unusual dream/LD at one point, but I wonder why I could not convert it into an OBE, where I was VERY aware for a long time, but could not change my surroundings or transport to another place.

You were locked in. These usually have a lesson or reason to them and until it's resolved the only escape is waking. This action isn't in mind as there's no obvious reason to wake.
Was there anything that needed attention?
A symbolic representation of something perhaps?
Have a think, the mundane dreams fail to stay in memory, it may be one of those we usually put down to experience and forget about.

I must say, your dream was quite funny. I read it and enjoyed a lot. I didn't get why you were not able to transfer your dream into an OBE.

I also was having a lot of non-lucid or semi-lucid dreams about being back in Junior High School and High School and one in college. I couldnt find the hidden symbolism behind it, but I eventually did after using some techniques from Jill Morris "The Dream Workbook". Two dreams I had I was back in Jr High talking to my younger self warning to do this and that and not do the things that I (or the younger me) would do when they get older. Another dream I was simply myself back in H.S.  So Szaxx is right...could be hidden symbolism in them. Our subconscious mind can work like that especialy deaing with past issues.

I broke down the dreams and found the symbolism as I keep dream journal, and seriously been into dream recal and memorys for most of my life. I conclude it was an indication that I wanted to go back to high school because it was more of a carefree innocense era, and because it was the time period before I started to make many mistakes in life when I hit college (nothing serious or illegal...just your typical human mistakes that you had you not done would of made your life a lot better and easier). I learned that you can't go back and change the past...nothing you can do...which is why the younger self of me never listened to me in my dreams when I gave warning (he would ignore me as though I wasn't there). Even if someone had told me back in the early 1990 the crazy mistake I made...I'd probably still never listen as I was hardheaded and did what I wanted. I also saw the symbolism in another dream that all we can do is move forward. I also felt that in a way I wouldnt want to go back to high school because in my HS dreams where Im back in HS going to class I ended up hating it because I hated a lot of that "going through a teenage phase" stuff so not only can't I go back...but I dont wan too....so I better just focus on the future...try not to make the same mistakes...and maybe warn others of the same.  In regards to flying...maybe in your dream that is an indication of letting something go? Anyhow seems you were in a semi-lucid dream state.

Szaxx was right, as usual!   :-)

I call this the "Lessons" Dream. I have many like this whereas even though I have complete awareness, I find I cannot change the circumstances.

This is a Dream with a lesson that must not be missed or altered.

If you didn't get whatever the lesson was, it shall come back again soon.   :-)

@ Lightbeam,
Have you experienced a retrieval yet?
If so think about the operational parameters of self during the experience. Look at your available memories and chronological developments within its progress.
If not, you are well on your way for one.
This isn't an ordinary dream. It stinks of a progressive gateway to expand your experiences into more realities.
Search for the question, you already know the answer. It's infront of you.

Find it and then you'll enter the light. You'll understand this later.

I have found out myself lately that Retrievals are not necessarily achieved completely in one night.

When I first started having them, they were solved quickly. One night's LD or one Phase Session was all it took.

Now I am experiencing them, but it takes several nights to "fix" or "find" a solution to said problem.

I am currently on night 12 of a very challenging one myself.

At first I had to bear witness to the entire problem. After viewing it for days on end, I was then ALLOWED to interact with it.

I am patient, so I will do what I must to see this through.

The more you learn, the more you find you are being challenged even further.

Hmm, that sounds just like it is in this Physical Reality as well. Figure that, lol!  :-D

Thank you for your replies guys. They are all very valuable.
Szaxx, I have done many retrievals, even one time there was a big group of spirits following me. They looked warned out and scared. They were from a mass murder event perhaps from one of the wars. They were all traveling together and I sensed that their own fear and the trauma they had experienced prior to their death was preventing them from shedding the human image and free their minds from their physical lives. I mentally poured a stream of information towards them, telling them to let go and switch their thoughts from fear to bliss, and that they were free to go wherever they wanted. After that they started disappearing one by one. I hope I had succeeded.

But going back to my LD, I thought that by going back to this cycle again, I was going to be the star and make my life absolutely epic, because for a 15 years old, I had all that knowledge of a mature person. So, it would have been a lot of fun actually. But at the same time I felt that I have lost my present ME and that I would not be able to continue my life from the point of my present as I knew it. I felt that everything was gone, including the friends I have made and my future ambitions and plans. Maybe I have to release some kind of fear. I still have to analyze it.

It sounds to me like you have done a great job of that already!  :-)

Check out Gregg Braden in a youtube video search,

He has some great ways to do just that.

I listened to 4 hours of his videos yesterday, I particularly liked these two.

Read your post with a third person perspective. The answers are there already. Generalise too. .
I can see a message within your words, you need to see it for yourself.. Use my previous post too, it should point you in the right direction.
I like the fact that you sent an imprint to all those unfortunate ones. They will understand as a group and you will have been successful.
