Hi,

I was been lazy. OK - to quote from the Astral Dynamic glossary: 'A harmless but disturbing (often frightening) manifestation, where a projector is confronted by a dark, threatening being immediately after exiting the physical body during an OBE!

I know what this is, it usually happens to me. Your awake and you just got up. Your still lying in bed and you still see these where dream scenes.  I one time was lying on my couch not wanting to move because i just got up and saw there was a bird sitting there in my couch. Either that or i believe its something like where you dream your in your room and other stuff is going on. Your moving in your bed like its a dream(i dont believe i get sleep paralysis) then you realize whats going on and you realize one of the dream characters are there and your awake(though they do vanish quickly).  Either way i wouldnt worry about it.

Dont be afraid. Paranormal explanations apart, you can have a scientific and medical explanation.

What you have it is an hallucination that occurs in the middle stage between being awake and being asleep. If the hallucination occurs while you are trying to sleep it is called hypnogogic hallucination, but if it is happening while you are awking it is hypnopompic (i think that it is this the name...) hallucination.

I had the same problem as you and someone here the forum helped me too, giving me an hyperlink for a good site, but now i dont remember.

You can rest in peace because that hallucination it is not harmful and you are nor getting crazy. It is something that can happen, specially to people with insomnias. IT is just another part of your sleeping stage, the problem is that you have it (and others people dont ) because you are still counscious in a stage of your sleep in wich you would must be sleeping. I think that it is more or less the explanation.

So, it is not harmful, and your hallucinations are, many times, build up on your fears. Do this: learn to have and to control lucid dreams. I believe that with time you will be able to change your hallucinations. Why dont you try it next time? Just wish for that!

And if i am correct, in no time you will be begging for more hallucinations ("Ohhh, i want to have another hallucination with that amazing girl!!!"[]).

This was really freaky and wierd.....The other day I was drifting in and out of dreams, and then right when I was waking up, and opening my eyes, I saw this wierd "hallucination". This isn't the first time I see these "hallucinations" while waking up from a dream. Has this ever happened to anyone here? What the heck is it? To better explain what I'm talking about, I'll share what happened to me the other day.

I was laying in bed, in like a drowsy "waking up" state, but not really awake, and I couldn't move (sleep paralysis I guess). Anyway, so as I'm "waking up" I see this wierd fuzzy image infront of me, like a TV image with a bad reception. It was a rectangle, with this wierd freaky guy inside of it. He looked like he was a vampire out of some movie, wearing blue clothers. And it also looked like he was staring right at me, and waving his arms/hands around his face (as if he was casting a spell), with his hands always pointing downwards, with extended fingers pointing downwards. And he had these long fingernails, like claws almost. I think I've been watching too many episodes of Charmed. So, I'm sitting in my bed with my eyes open, can't move, and there's this wierd vampire guy in a TV, floating infront of me. [xx(] [] I tried to move, but couldn't, I felt like he was keeping me there, paralyzed, and cackling at me. The funny thing is, his hands were always covering his mouth. Then at one point, he stopped waving his arms around, and slowly moved his head above his hands, revealing his pointy, long, freaky, stained teeth, and then he started cackling at me. I swear at this point you would probably imagine a wierd horror b-movie sound effect if you saw what I was seeing lol. It was freaky, because I couldn't hear the cackle, it was as if someone had pressed the mute button on the "TV". Freaked me out, and then all of a sudden I wasn't paralyzed, blacked out for a split second, and then came too. Uhh, just what the heck was all of that? lol
