i'm gonna paraphrase my dream that reoccurs and why i think it might be a dream of a past life.
as i nod off to sleep, the room fades and darkness goes all around...

I open my eyes and find myself in a stone brick hallway thats lightened by the small windows leading outside. I step over to one and look through to a land of sand. I hear someone calling out to me, and so i turn my head to look. out of the shadows further down the hallway, for it is around dusk, someone steps out with what looks like royal clothing. she, for that is what i see this person as now, says Ankh-s-n-pa'aten, your needed in the throne room. Now for some reason, i dont feel confused by her calling by that name. almost as if i knew that was my name. we walk down the hallway, and when we get to the throne room's entrance, and light brightens up, i wake up. like it was a fade out or something....where everything goes white and than black before a new image reappears.
but i wake up and knew that my name was that in what i thought was a dream. and so i did a lil research on the name and actually came up with something. now i do need to say that i dont know a damn thing about ancient history. especially egyptian. but the name turns out to be Ankhesenamun. {heres the link where i got my info.} http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankhesenamun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankhesenamun).

Most reoccuring dreams are reaccurig for a reason. If you're right about not knowing anything at all about egyptian pantheon then it is noteworthy that you were able to find the name mentioned on wikipedia. It takes a lot of research to know if your dreams about being this person actually point to the fact that you were in fact this person. THere isn't much productivity that comes out of knowing your past life, other than helping you resolve some karmic situations or phobias you are confused about in your present life.
You might want to look into Ankhesenamun's roles in the egyptian community she was from. Pay attention to her motives, fears, goals, dreams, and aspirtations. Do you share any of these with her? Do you feel that you can learn from her mistakes and try not to repeat them? If not, then I'm not sure if anything else productive can come out of knowing her as your past life.
Also. This was a very long time ago. If past lives are real, who's to say you haven't already lived a few generations in between now and then. Why did you skip your past life, and skip all the way to ancient egypt?
It is common for many people to dream of being egyptian royalty. Lots of people at the time worshiped the royalty, and they received special favor and the ability to be mummified in tombs. The people believed if they were mummified they would receive eternal life. It is possible that all of the common people were envious of the royalty, and hoped to one day be eternal also. I am reminded currently of the hand full of people who claim to have been Cleopatra in a past life. Not sure what this all means. Or what parts of it you will find important.
Just read it and take what you can from it, I guess. Hope i inspired you to look into the dream more. =P
