Where Did I See This On Astral Pulse?

Some time ago, I came across a post, that I remember really stuck with me at the time, but even using the search engine here at AP, I can not find that post again.

It was dealing with ways to get yourself to come into full awareness once in a dream.

And the exact discussion was dealing with, during the whole time that you are physically awake, on the physical plane, keep asking yourself, "are you awake", over and over again, so that you will finally hear that in a dream, and you will be able to use that, as a trigger to go into full conciseness within your dream.

Reason being, for me, it worked the other night.

I started just pounding myself with that little catch phrase all day, and that night, what I believe was my, "first" dream, I remember hearing that catch phrase, plain as day, but, for some strange reason, even though I heard it, and stopped to acknowledge the phrase, I then just continued on with the dream.

The next morning, I immediately remembered hearing it, but, also remembered not acting on it, and was very bummed out over the fact that I blew my chance.

Because the very next evening, ...nothing, ...at all. So, I really blew my chance.

But, alas, this is why I seek where I read that post, I would like to go back, and see if there was any more that I could absorb from that post.

Anyone remember that post, or something like it?

Thanks.

Hello bigzeke, I just tried to find it as well, no luck. But, there are a number of other great posts on Dreams here, it never hurts to read all of them. I find you can program your mind in a different way to know you are having a Lucid Dream. I say this to myself everynight before I go to sleep. "By my act of WILL, I RELEASE my FOCUS over my physical body. TAKE ME to your desired destination. SHOW ME what I need to see, TEACH ME what I need to learn. AWAKEN ME in my dreams know I am dreaming, so I can CONTROL and REMEMBER them, so I may LEARN FROM and ENJOY them". I visualize all those capitalized letters as fading into the darkness before my eyes.
This nightly Brain Entrainment works wonders for me. This will also help you with "Re-scripting" your dreams. The hardest part is always taking control of the dream, but if you miss that point, you can always go back and re-script it with full lucidity/control. As usual regular practice will aid you greatly here.
Good Luck!  :-)
Here is a great video I just found on Lucid Dreaming. It's only 9:00 minutes long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-ayY0enxLQ&feature=related
Every little bit of info helps!  :-)

I don't remember seeing it, but I can say, that I could see this working, quite well in fact.

A number of my OBEs stem from me being in dreams and then having the thoughts, "We'll that's just not right" and following it that, something to the effect, "I must be in a dream" and it hits me. All of a sudden that 'faint' being drawn away feeling kicks in and an OBE starts.

Writing down your dreams helps out a ton, because you are actively concerned about what is physical reality and what is not.

Cheers,
