Hey everybody its yesi

Just a cuople questions about astral projection and lucid dreaming.
Okay firstly I would like to say I really got into astral projection just the beginning of this week on Monday and have been practicing meditation and trying to separate but haven't been successful with the "separation, visualizing yourself" part of this wonderful little ability. I understand it takes months even years to accomplish but I have some symptoms that I want to know if they're astral projection symptoms.

Minor tingles
No vibrations
Numbness from legs to shoulders
Headache (when trying to activate third eye)
And coldness

These are my symptoms and hopefully I'm somewhat close.
I have researched on the seven chakras and relaxations and even guided meditations which do help me.
I also have an issue with my eyelids somewhat fluttering idk if that's a good or bad thing either.

LUCID DREAMING

I have a question on lucid dreaming...how does one fall into lucid dreams and should one lucid dream before astral projection or does it not matter?.

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from u guys soon :)

There are many on here that can do this and have never known or used anything to do with chakras, the third eye etc.
It helps others to use them though. It's all belief based and what you believe you need will limit your chances of success.
There's lots of info here and reading the threads at the top parts of each section from the home page (stickies) will help point you in learning many techniques used.
Being new you will have lots of questions that have already been answered in these sections. They are faster than asking and waiting for a reply.
Have a read, you'll learn whats needed much faster. This done you can try some methods you have read.
Hope you enjoy this site.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Hi there Yesi,

What I suggest is to try the "Search" feature (it's at the top of pretty much every page).
Search for words and phrases and see if you can find anything of interest which might help you.

There's over 10 years of posts and experience here on the forums.

If you're still having problems finding the info you require, please do ask.  :)

Hi Yesi.

Man a whole week already and no success yet. That must be a bummer. Just kidding. Anything worth doing is worth working hard for but in this case, the goal is not to work or think hard.

If the talk and use of chakras is new to you, it might be better to put that away for now. I have no doubt that understanding them helps many people along their spiritual journey but unless they are already a big part of your belief system, you may be overwhelming your ability to just slow down your mind since trying to activate your chakras takes a lot of active thinking for a beginner.

I didn't even know what a chakra was until recently and I've been having OOBE"s for 12 years now. I'm not dropping years on you for the sake of it but I just want you to understand that they aren't necessary to succeed.

If you are determined to use them then it may be better to separate your chakra work from the times that you are trying to have an astral projection.

All the sensations that you are talking about are really more closely related to sleep paralysis more than to astral projection itself but the the two are connected. Most people including myself do have to enter the SP state before we can have an OOBE and therefore I recommend you read the great sticky about SP on the forum. Just know that you may not feel all of the sensations or with much intensity but you can still have an Astral projection. So don't get to hung up on all the sensations other than just knowing why you may feel them and that they are completely natural and harmless.

For me, when my eyes start to twitch bad, I know I'm about ready to project so this could mean the same for you. Some people just suddenly become aware that they are "out" but some do not. This is why you should choose a couple of exiting techniques to try. There are a ton of these techniques all over the forum so give them a good read.

A lucid dream is when you realize in a "regular" dream that you are dreaming. When you become of aware of this you need to start questioning what is happening in the dream. Usually this just leads to you taking control of the dream and making it better but it is also an excellent way for a beginner to achieve their first OOBE. When I project from a lucid dream, I have to make the dream "go away" before I can continue on with an Astral projection. Again there are many techniques in the older threads and you can see if they sound good to you.

If you can't find a specific answer that you're looking for, then please feel free to ask. Everybody is here to help and be helped.  Good luck.

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.
