According to Robert Bruce, and I quote,

"Dreaming is an internal mental process of the physical body that normally occurs after it has fallen asleep.  While the author classifies dreaming as an internal mental process, dreams take place in another set of dimensions, dream dimensions, which are no less real than any other dimension, e.g.,the astral dimension.  Lucid dreams also take place in dream dimensions."

So I'd say yep, you're on some kind of astral plane.  I've had experiences where people are walking around like zombie's, now I can't be sure if they were dead or dreamers but cool non the less.[;)]

ok, it's been a LONG time i have this doubt : the place in which we "go" when dreaming is the astral ? The same place that people here have been talking about when astral projecting ? I think it's not.

I need to know this, as sometimes i have lucid dreams and sometimes i am afraid of what i do there to have consequences, as somone said that in the astral it would exist consequences to our actions there as we would find there other persons projecting. Is this the case when lucid dreaming or in normal dreams ? If not, that means that the place in which we lucid dream or have normal dreams is absolutly NOT the same place in which we go when astral projecting, which means, the astral?

Then my last question is : is the astral much different from the place we go when dreaming ?
