Title: Driving
Post by: iamkuljuarenot on April 15, 2011, 03:39:41
I believe that I may have an answer to my question but I would like to hear others' thoughts on the subject.

I have been having numerous dreams, not on a daily basis, but frequently have dreams where I'm driving a vehicle and either I'm about to get into a crash or something else bad comes about while I'm in a vehicle.  However, the outcome of the situation never really shows itself before I slightly wake up.

I'm pretty sure I know the symbolism behind these dreams (any opinions appreciated), but these dreams always seem to turn lucid toward the end and on 2 or 3 occasions I have been able to have an out of body experience after slightly waking up and getting intense vibrations.

It seems to be a reoccurring theme for me and has actually aided me in a few out of body experiences, which is my full intent every night.  Any thoughts?

I would say something in your life is getting out of hand. stop now or crash....

This comes from personal experience with a similar dream I used to have. don't be offended if I am wrong. this is merely my opinion

I've read that it's common for your car in a dream to represent your physical body. I too have had a number of dreams that have to do with a car accident or flat tires, and the situation tends to make me lucid. About a month ago I had one where I had a flat tire, and when I got out to look at it I noticed the rear one was flat too. Then I walked around the car and the other side was on it's rims. I was like "how could I have been driving like this, this can't be real"... and I was right. It got really weird and then really cool after that, but that's a story for a different thread.

I just had one last night where I was riding my motorcycle with my sister on the back when I lost my ability to see. We mildly crashed the bike and my sister said,"What the hell!?" I've had that scenario before, where I've been driving something and lost my vision or ability to steer or similar malady. The common denominator seems to be control or losing control. Maybe I'll think about a little more.

Whenever I dream that I'm driving, it's like the gas pedal is EXTREMELY sensitive and the brake pedal takes forever to brake the vehicle.

Haha, yeah that happens to me a lot too, I press that brake down as hard as I can and the vehicle either doesn't want to stop or it spins and flips out of control.
