About ten years ago I saw a suicide in a dream which turned out to be real. I don't know what caused it and wonder if anyone else has had this rather distressing experience.

In the dream I saw somebody trying to abort a suicide attempt, fighting for his/her life. I felt their anguish and physical struggle and felt they were losing. I was not "there" in the dream and could only watch. It was very vivid... finally I woke up and shrugged off as just a bad dream, which is unusual for me because I almost never have nightmares. It was a Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Then when I went to work on Monday everyone was sitting around looking sad or in shock. I learned a co-worker had killed herself. I was especially freaked out, as you can imagine. She had given no indication of being suicidal. We'd spent some time together on Friday, talking about travel. She was Norwegian and so is my husband's family so we thought it would be fun to meet up in Norway.

Is it possible we made some kind of connection then? I didn't believe in psychic abilities and certainly hadn't experienced them myself, but I do believe this was not a coincidence.

Well that's the story. Thankfully that's the only time it happened.

No, no connection. It is possible however than you have fallen asleep with her in your sub. conc. thus giving you the vision of the events that took place. Sorry about the suicide, it's never an answer to a problem. : (

you should believe in psychic abilities, even material science has found an explanation (though it's one they don't understand/comprehend).  no crap, there have been tons of scientific experiments (and i mean experiments, which a lot of people use incorrectly - this is the height of scientific inquiry, a controlled, repeatable experiment - not a study or a correlation or any other "almost experiment but not quite") that have shown almost beyond a shadow of a doubt that psi phenomena is real.

addict may be right, or it's absolutely possible that you made some kind of a connection with this person.  i'm sure there's some reason, perhaps a similarity of energy attracted the two of you together, maybe they were your energetic compliment.

either way, that's a super neat experience (aside from the death) and a great little piece of personal proof for these kinds of phenomena.
be awesome.

@personalreality couldn't it have been possible she was aware of the person's energy signature? When you are aware of one's signature you don't necessarily NEED a connection for events such as Liz's to take place.

I used the word connection a bit loosely - does it have a particular meaning in this context?
And energy signature? Is there a difference?

I didn't really believe in psychic abilities back then, but I do now. I've been experiencing the pre-astral projection state but didn't know what it was. I'm so glad I found out that I don't just have a "sleep disorder."

What's an energy signature please? And how do you feel it/see it etc?

Well when the word "connection" comes up i think of the spirit connection my soulmate and i have. As for the energy signature, think of it like this. An energy signature is like your energy fingerprint. When you are with a person, think of a person etc, you have a distinctive feeling towards them. Like if you're with one person and you feel anger, or another person love, etc.

Did you dream it the same night she did it? I think it was her reaching out to you. I don't think it was a coincidence.
