Hey every1, hope all is good with all of you

To be honest this has probably been posted before by someone else,,but i am far to lazy to make sure lol

Well i was taking a nap today and left my ipod on, and i heard the song playing throughout the dream,  and obviously in the dream you think nothing of it, untill i suddenly noticed the track change,,and i was like that was weird, and then i instantly knew i was dreaming,,,the thing is when this happens without music i can keep myself from waking up,,but i was asleep for a good 3 hours,,,woke up in between 3 times and with the music was able to identify everytime i was dreaming...!

Try it and see,,,,,,ooooh one reccomendation,,,,SLAYER IS SCARY WHEN ASLEEP !!!!!!!

That seems a useful thing to try.  :-)

I've also had someone tell me that a way to lucid dream is to tell yourself, mentally, before you go to sleep, that you are going to have a lucid dream. Does that work?

I find music helps me sometime in meditation by giving me something prominent to ignore. As in breathing meditation, focussing on breathing brings you to the here and now. It helps me concentrate on a single thing. It brings you to the here and now. Music is the same. You can concentrate on music and slowly feel yourself drifting away from it into trance.

I have a track list on my computer of over 5000 songs. I put about 400 in a playlist sometimes when I try to project. This is circumstancial to the way I'm feeling however. Sometimes I just use the breathing exercise.

I'd support the idea that it helps personally.

Very true all of the times I've had lucid dreams I just told myself I would remember everything that happens and that I would wake up in the dreams and the I usually do.

But that sounds like something to try with the music. I'll try it as soon as I can, thanks for the idea.

Yes definatley telling yourself ur going to have alucid dream helps,,,i do a variation of that,,,when i am lying down ready for sleep i constantly remind myself that from now on nothing is real,,,,i have tried thi 8 times so far and it has worked twice,,,getting rather addicted to sleep now though which is kinda dangerous

I think there is a lot of power in affirmations. Simply saying something and involving the thought in your mind can help a great deal.

"I am going to project tonight". Sometimes I've woken up out of my body not even attempting to project. This has happened without me saying the affirmation but I still think they can help. Over time, it's guaranteed to have an impact on your subconscious.

I've not been on this forum in aaages  :-o Too busy with exams and stuff.

Yeh I've had a couple of Lucid Dreams and I agree that affirmations are a good way to achieve the lucid state. And when you do you will love it, I sure did
