So, was this a lucid dream or just "some sort" of?

Wow, that was confusing!

Sounds like a whole load of dream layers or levels to me, with a false awakening at the end (where you think you've woken up only to find you are in another dream).  Shame you didn't have more chance to explore the lucid dream.

I have dreams where I fall asleep in the dream, and then I dream I've had an OBE in the middle of the dream, then I "woke up" from the OBE, back into the dream where I was sleeping.  My brain hurt after that one! []

Knowing you are dreaming is the definition of a lucid dream.

Hi everybody

well.. last night I dreamed that I was in a big room and didnt know what to do.. So I layed down on the floor and fell asleep in the dream.. so I was sleeping in a dream. Then I wook up in the dream and had a dream.. this might sound kinda confusing.. I dreamed in a dream.
And that dream in the dream was in exact the same room i fell asleep in my dream and i thought 'Wait, isnt this the room i fell asleep in? I must be dreaming! This must be a lucid dream!" then i started walking and I was feeling vibrations i think.. Then suddenly, in that lucid dream I got from falling asleep in a dream, my brother came to me and started to annoy me.. it was like he was trying to get me out of that lucid dream and I must have "forgotten" that this is MY dream and thought he was real or something.. I shouted at him 'Stop this! I am having a lucid dream dont destroy it for me' but then I woke up.

Now.. I think I didnt really know I had a lucid dream because I thought the "reality" would be that big room i fell asleep in, but that was a dream.. I hope you guys understand what I mean.

so, my questions:

Was this a lucid dream or not?

and

why the hell did my brother appear in that dream to wake me up? Doesnt our brain like it when we have a lucid dream (if it was a lucid dream..) or something?
