There I am addressing a dozen or more people.  The feeling I have is I'm there to give them a positive, uplifting speech.  While I'm in the dream all is fine and it seems I'm doing a brilliant job.  I feel so wise and important.  Then I wake up.....

For a split second the dream hangs in all its glory and  I can hear and feel my words of wisdom in the air.  Another second goes by and those words of wisdom fly away along with my dream.  I try and try to remember what my words were..  I squeeze my eyes shut reaching out for the words and feelings.  Slowly they start coming back to me....ahhhh..I said..........

"Popsicle sticks make better cars"  WHAT?  Those aren't words of wisdom!!

This happened to me this morning and thought I'd share.  It got me to wondering how many other people experience this.  I mean... I know I wasn't talking about the future use of popsicle sticks..lol.  Why is it we have certain dreams that are so clear only to have them reduced to babble when awake?

Eh....just thinking outloud

An interesting article i read... http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?articleID=0001F172-55DA-1C75-9B81809EC588EF21

Basically, what I'm getting at here is that dreams can be completely random and are affected by everything in the world around you.  If that is the speech you actually gave in the dream, then it may have just been affected by something you did that day... For instance, if you ate some ice cream that comes on a stick or made a box out of Popsicle sticks.

Nay,
A change from power speech to the absurd has happened to me while wakening. This change seems like a change in my age.I think you may have heard something from yourself as a child. Maybe a link to earlier messages, then you converted to child speech as an automatic response. The popsickle subject for instance, is in a little girl's thoughts and vocabulary.

I can't remember a dream of my own speech taking place. I gave an instruction to a group which proved to be effective in waking life.I recall a view speeches by others, not me. Those didn't translate either. It's just a matter of time, it will.

Thanks ya'll.   :)

I really don't see it as a problem, just a curiousity.   To feel so wise in one moment only to sound like a babbling idiot the next... ahhh... so like my waking life..

The words strike me as similar to those uttered as wisdom by people on acid.

But my explanation lies in the fact that yours may be the case of the waking mind trying to render in its vocabulary concepts it can't comprehend. The result is gibberish that reflects the waking consciousness's perception of what it's trying to assimilate. It's like someone who can produce the phomenes of Mandarin Chinese without knowing neither any words nor grammar.
