You know it would've really sucked if it had turned out that you weren't dreaming about work.
I've mixed dream and waking a couple of times and it's the source for the most amazing embarrasment and havoc imaginable.

Hey jouni, you mean like you let go of a ladder and went WHAM!!! on the floor and looked up into the eyes of your boss?

jilola

Paukki Yeh, that. Imagine trying to explain to him howyou though you were just moseying around in the astral.

freddhedd Did it once. It was efter a series of false awakenings so I was kinda lost in it. I had dreamt of getting up an leaving for work with no clothes on a couple of times in a row. Realizing I was dreaming I just went ahead and poked around the dream.
Except for the finla time when it wasn't a false awakening and left me stading outside my apartment door w/no clothes, no keys and bloody freezing. Neighbours had huge fun with me when I wen to ask them to call the janitor to open the door.

maybe its just me but I cant understand how you can get dream and phsycial reality mixed up. Surely you know when your awake there is a certain feeling, conciousness?

For me it was the three consecutive flase awakenings from exactly the same lucid dream.
I just assumed that the fourth was a dream as well.
I did realize I was dreaming, feet were cold, but it was too late to stop the door from closing.

This morning I was having yet another blasted dream about work.  I was climbing a yellow ladder--the stationary vertical type--and I was trying to carry something sorta under my left arm while climbing with my hands.  It wasn't working very well.  I began to realize I was losing strength and that I wouldn't be able to do it.  But then....aha!....I realized I could just let go of the ladder and let myself fall, yeehaaa!  ANd that would lead me to being able to project or fall through an astral portal and go to Adventure Land!  So I let go and fell off the ladder.  It was great, for about a few seconds, because I felt like I fell into a wonderful warmth and soft, floating feeling.  Unfortunately I must have dropped right down into dreamless delta.  Nuts.  Bah.  Humbug!  Well, there's always the next time.
