that sounds cool! i think i'll try to learn how to do that
but a couple questions...
it really that easy,or does it require lots of practice? how long did it take you to get results? and how does keeping your body in the same position help?

Nay

Very cool!  Ya know what it sounds like to me that you are doing?

Projecting!  You have a intent on where you want to go, and you get there.  It seems you are just overriding the conscious projection part of it.[^]

I did this for years!  Can you wake up from a dream, or what you "thought" was a dream and go right back to it?  How is your thoughts while in these "dreams", do you have total control over what you were thinking and doing?

I've used it to see how I truly feel about situations I'm not sure of. At first I was pretty sure I would be unable to see how others felt about me, but I experimented with that and realized I could in fact do that. I try not to though, because imo it's an invasion of others' privacy.

I'm totally fasinated by this...can you explain a bit more, or is it too personal?

Great thread!

Edit: I have no idea why you put up a [}:)] on your headliner..lol..I just noticed it, do you feel ummmmm..evil or sneeky in your endeavors?

Well, a couple years ago, this girl I knew told me that when she was little, she oftentimes went to ancient egypt in her dreams, whenever she thought about it really hard before falling asleep.  I tried something like that, but if i were to think that hard about it, I wasn't able to sleep.  So I just waited until i was about to fall asleep.  I realized that right before I fall asleep I can feel my body falling asleep. I really don't know how to explain that too well, but when you're falling asleep at night, try and feel the difference between the positions you don't fall asleep in and the one you do (if that made any sense).  I don't know if it's just me, but I feel my body start to fall asleep before my mind does. That's the only reason I stay in the same position - because that position is the one I fall asleep in, and I request my dream just before I fall asleep.  Like 30 seconds to a minute before, i guess.  (I never counted).  I don't think about it non-stop, but I think it enough to get it in my head.  And it wasn't hard for me, I just did it, so it shouldn't be hard for you.

I wish it were that way, heh, but I seriously doubt that's what I'm doing.  When I project (I should put that in past tense, it's been almost a year, heh), it feels nearly real, but no, I can tell these are dreams.  I'm not conscious in these dreams, but I am able to recall them easily.  They're also the ones that stand out most in the nights I have them.

I've been able to re-enter dreams after waking in the middle of them for a while now, but not all the time, and not any more than usual with these requested dreams.  As I said before, I don't have total control over these dreams.  If I did, I don't think their message would get across to me, and that's the general purpose of them (unless I ask for a dream just for entertainment, lol)

Nah, I don't mind elaborating, heh... I've mentioned this in other threads, but when I, for example, get into a relationship, I like to see how I truly feel about the situation, and if I'm suspicious of him for any reason, I try to see how he feels about it.  I don't like to do the latter, and I'm not 100% sure if it works, but it has shown me the truth in the past, so I'm pretty sure it does work.

I'm really not sure how it works, but some people say that we are all one being of energy separated into several, yet all connected individuals.  Perhaps through dreams I'm accessing parts of myself I'm unable to access while awake.  And based on the theory I mentioned before, maybe I'm accessing the subconscious of other people.... A little far-fetched, I know, but ya never know[;)]

By the way, if you were to look at every single thread I've started (minus 1 or two that I may've forgotten), I've always used the [}:)]....It's just a thing i do, heh.  If you want me not to, though, i don't have to, lol [:P]

I'm not sure if this topic has been brought up or not (I tried to search, but the search engine didn't feel like working, lol), so I apologize if it has.

In the past 4 or 5 months I've found that I can request dreams and have them.  Very cool actually, heh.  If anyone cares, heh, this is how i do it...
I get in bed, and get into the position I'm gonna fall asleep in.  I know what position that is because when I'm in it my body starts to fall asleep, if that makes any sense.
At that point I mentally tell myself "I want to have a dream about [insert dream here].  I don't have to concentrate on it until I fall asleep either, I just state it a few times, in the mindset that I am saying this to my subconcious, and of coufs, believing it'll happen.

It shouldn't be complex, at least at first, but this technique can be very useful.  I've used it to see how I truly feel about situations I'm not sure of.  At first I was pretty sure I would be unable to see how others felt about me, but I experimented with that and realized I could in fact do that.  I try not to though, because imo it's an invasion of others' privacy.

Anyway, just thought I'd share this with everyone here
