Mmm well, there are still things that can hurt/scare the crap out of my physical self O__o.

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

yes but in a lucid dream you need to realize that in a LUCID dream you can be infinitly strong, fast, etc. You are literally invincible.

Hallo Fat T.,
Congrats with your lucid dream! I think you just have to get over it with experience...

Anyway, you got a lucid dream, using your habits in the waking life!

Nooo no no no. I think you misunderstand. I am not scared of being in the dream world/environment. I know perfectly well that I am infinitely strong, fast, etc. whilst in there. It's my own world after all ^_^

When I become lucid I feel as though there is something attacking my PHYSICAL body. NOT my dream body. My dream body rushes back to my physical body and I snap back into consciousness feeling incredibly scared. I feel like there is something, somewhere, OUTSIDE of the dream (at my physical body, lying asleep in my bed) that is attacking it.

I'll try by convincing myself that nothing can happen to me while I'm asleep, but that's difficult to believe with all the alien stories that have been shoved down my throat [B)]

Here's a tip from me, this thing is manifasting itself in your dreams and it feeds on your fear(lets put it that way), so you need to manifest you emotions in something to fight this fear, before you go to sleep think of someone you trust or a celebrity,rock/pop/rap/idol, even me... and so on, anyways you make this character in your conscience like a buddy, give him personallity, powers... and make him be the body bag or a shield that sucks in fear whenever it's present in your dreams, psych yourself into  believing your buddy is with you so you will recollect him in your dreams. This should give you some advantage in overcoming the fear, just try it, it isn't something like a complex instruction it just meant to make you feel little comfort(knownig there is buddy with you) in a threatning LD situation.
Hope it helps.

I read your post with interest. While I believe that fear is to be combatted, I do not believe that the presense of fear is an indication of being misguided. I have on many occations had fears that seemed unjustifiable at the time, based on previous notions that all fear is fictional, only later to discover that they were very real and that a threat was present. I would urge you to take your GUT FEELING, instinct or whatever you choose to call it serious and consider counter meassures.

I realise that our beliefsystems are different . In any case be on guardnot in a fearful but vigilant manner and if your feelings continue, wait........take your time, and make sure that the steps you take are safe. Remember you are scaling a mountain......nothing is lost by taking your time to make sure you are safe.

Words.....there was a time when I believed in words!

Fat_Turkey

Just last night (though not the first time) I slipped into a lucid dream (possibly by will, not sure). I was talking to an old person and he/she was talking about these two girls who looked at a certain pattern and then saw something...I asked what and he said "lucid dreams."

Now, every time I talk to people about lucid dreaming, I just do a reality check and tell them that I am checking reality as a demonstration. This being my habitual behaviour, I immediately found I was lucid.

This not being the first time this has happened to me, I immediately felt an overwhelming sense of fear and a compelling NEED to get back to my body. I felt that something could be tampering with my body or attacking it (usually I feel as though some kind of alien [grey/zeta] is going at me and abducting me or some crazy thing like that). So then, as per usual, I felt half paralyzed, and only my neck would move.

Then, in about 2 seconds flat, I felt a sucking feeling all around me and I was "pulled" back to consciousness. Very amazing feeling, but the overwhelming sense of fear ruined the entire experience.

I'm wondering how I can get past this idea that something is attacking me as soon as I become lucid?? It's getting in the way of some would-be awesome experiences (like flying [|)])

Please help!
