Title: Holy crap! an hour and a half of W.I.L.D.!

Please specify regarding the nature of the actual mental focus; I'm keenly able to follow reverie, but never to the point of numbness.

After having willfully kept my body on before, I am puzzled as to the safe way to turn my body off.

I tink the important thing to explore in order to try to induce that kind of experience is the realtion between the tiredness of the body due to interrupted sleep, and the way to wake up your mind so you are physically very tired but mentally very clear.there is a delicate balance to achieve-I just stumbled upon it, but holy cow it was cool.[8D]if you wake up tooearly, you will be way too groggy, and won't be able to become mentally clear.if you wake up too late, your body will be too rested to "fall away".it would probably help to do some physical exercise during the day,but not so much that you are extremely exhausted and become mentally drained-that "tired to the point of drunkenness" feeling.I like to walk and hike-It gives physical exercise and mentall calmness.I found that during that particular experience, when I woke up, I was tired, but had too much muscle tension to fall asleep again,so I thouroughly stretched out all tension, then just started reading a book.over the period of about half an hour, I lost the groggy feeling and became mentally clear, then got tired again.it seemed to "prime" my conciousness-like warming it up.to simplify things-it's about finding the delicate balance between bodily tiredness, and mental clarity-the perfect recipe for intense lucid dreaming! they didn't seem like "normal" (if that's possible) lucid dreams though-they were much more real, and a lot wierder! my sense of conciousness didn't fade after a few minutes-it just kept going, and going, and going...until I awoke an hour and a half later! I think it is perfectly reproducable-it's just a matter of experimenting w/different times to wake up,preceeded and followed by the proper induction techniques.I would like to find out if anyone has had similar experiences, or have results based on the above technique.

This happened a couple of days ago.I used the "interrupted sleep" technique.I awoke after about 6 hours of sleep.I usually get about 8-9 hours, so I wasn't so tired that my mind was all groggy, but I was tired enough to be able to drop off to sleep almost instantly.I stayed awake about half an hour, stretched out any tension in order to be able to get to sleep faster.I just focesed my mind as my body was getting all numb, and my body went to sleep nearly instantaneously. It just "fell away", and I started seeing a movie screen of what looked like memories from a longtime ago-either a past life if that's possible or akashic memories somehow.I experienced many strangethings.either super-stable lucid dreams,or astral projections, "normal" lucid dreams, tons of wierd stuff I don't remember, a focus 12 experience in which I instantly created symphonic music w/orchestra and chior. It was absurdly easy! (and fun).I don't remember a lot of stuff, but I clearly remember a continious, unbroken conciousness from when my body fell asleep a little after 7:00 am, to when I physically awoke at 8:45 am! One possible idea-I've been practicing the 6 tibetan exercises for the last week.the first 5 every day, and the 6th only when necessary.Could this also have had something to do with it? I've had many sleep interrupted type experiences before, but never for that long![:O][:)]
