Have you tried auto-suggestion? You know, where you think the same sentence over and over again?
I did it last night. I just kept thinking, "I will know I am dreaming. I will know I am dreaming..." It was my first attempt ever to have a lucid dream and it worked. Tonight I'm going to try to set a goal for myself, something I want to do in the dream, just to see if I can remember. ("I will know I am dreaming and I will dance..."[|)])
hey thanks thats a good idea. But when should i do this, right before i go to bed?? And how long should i do this??
well before bed yes, but it wouldn't hurt durign the day as well. Before bed is good though! good luck to you!
Do reality checks during the day. If you get into a habit of questioning reality, you'll do it when you dream too. There are a lot of differant ways to do them, so you'll never get bored. Ask yourself questions, like the five W's (where, when, who, how, and why)You could stop what you're doing, and examine your surroundings. (When I do this in dreams, it's magical.) See where you are, and make sure that objects don't move.Pretend that you are dreaming and imagine what you can do.Use affirmations. Now, if you decide you don't want to do reality checks, keep a dream journal. That should help your dream recall, and you'll start having ld's again.
When i was little, I used to be able to know that when i was dreaming, it wasn't real, and i didnt have to be scared of anything. Now, im 16 and i cant do it anymore. And it sucks, because when i was little my dreams were fun, because i could control them.....
