Is it possible to astral project in a dream? I'm not sure what the label to this experience I had last night. I had a dream I was at some stadium for WWE (crazy right lol) then I followed this wrestler outside to the parking lot and then he ran for some reason. I was by myself and then I guess I thought about projecting and then I started floating from the parking lot at will and I got to some city skyline (not the city I'm from or any city I seen) and I saw weird faces and weird images in the sky while floating/flying above the skyline. Then I woke up but little did I know I was still dreaming. I don't know why I didn't become lucid since I was sleeping on the wrong end of my bed and the alarm clock I have was a TV screen showing Harry Potter and the TV was on showing the same Harry Potter video. They were sync as if 2 TV's were playing the same show. Then I woke up in real life. So what was this? I did tell myself I was going to astral project but I don't try when I go to sleep since I have a fear of doing it at night. I have never projected by the way. I've almost twice sot of. So what would you label this experience?

In my opinion you ARE astral projecting in a dream.  That's what a dream is, an unconscious astral projection.
If you want to gain a lucid awareness while you're there, you first need to realize you're dreaming.  After that, you'll need to bring forth your full waking awareness... doing this results in what I call having an astral awareness.  :)

If, in your experience, you realized at some point that you were dreaming (and it sounds like you might have) then you would have had, at the very least, a lucid awareness experience.  :)

My opinion. No, LD and projection are two different things. But it IS possible to project from an LD. you noticed you were dreaming but it seems you weren't in control of it all that much. So you had an LD awareness. I would label it as an interesting dream.

But it's funny you know. I used to always know when I was dreaming and I would take advantage of that by having sex in the dream. I never knew that was what lucid dreaming was. I mean every single time I was dreaming, I just knew. It stopped and I haven't been able to tell now. I get your theory but how are you APing when you are interacting with family members and friends in the dream? I also felt as if seeing those images and faces in the sky in different colors were almost normal for an AP even though I have never AP to my knowledge. Then everything became hazy, foggy, and dark and I woke up but was still dreaming. It was a weird experience. Never had a dream in a dream if that's possible.

Ah yes, the one thing everybody loves doing when they are LD or AP.. sex! Honestly, it just seems like you had an interesting bonking dream lol

Spot on.  I agree.  8-)

By the way, xDS...

It is possible to be in a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream... :-D

For myself, I just narrow that down to it's simplest format... it's a dream.   Doesn't matter how many nesting dreams you're within, in the end, you still have no idea you're in the non-physical... so it's all a dream awareness experience.

It is all about how your mind perceives. Perception can be affected by belief and expectation majorly.  You create reality there.  If you believe that you are in a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream then that is exactly what you'll experience.  :-P
