here's my question to get straight to the point.
~What's going on if 2 people have a dream about the past. Same exact dream about the past. Say I dream of being a Egyptian Pharoah, and the other person, for arguments sake, is a female and dreams of being the Royal wife of the Pharoah and has the same events happen and such. What's all of that put together mean?~
Much help is needed on this, for i keep having a dream that my ex keeps having. and i'm always the husband/consort of her personality.
thanks.
If your ex wasn't having the same dream, I would say that it is a desire of yours.
However, since the same dream is being had on their end as well, I'd say more of a shared past? Maybe just a shared dreamscape?
well i know that i had a past in egypt {not exactly sure who i was though, just know i lived in egypt before and in this life i havent left the US. so...yeah thats my part....why is she having them the same way though?...this is very wierd.
thanks.
I have projected to others' dreams (more than I wanted to, let me tell you) so I tend to go with the idea of a shared dreamscape over a shared past. Not that it can't be, it's just that a shared dream seems more accessible from a statistical point of view.
hmm....interesting. i understand your POV. but here's a theory that i have since i dont know dreams. but maybe we cant share dreams, nor do we have the same dream over again since dreams are meaningless chatter the brain has. and so when someone has a reoccurring dream they are reliving a different time or something and when 2 or more ppl have the same dream they have lived that time before. idk, thats just a theory and that it might even be debunked here in a min and i accept that. anyways, thats my 2 cents. lol.
thanks.

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing any of that to be true.... or false. :)
kinda figured that...lol....good thing i just have theories....lol
Dragohad, a few things confuse me about your statements-
Why do you accept that a dream shows you what happened to you before you were born, but not what is happening now? If dreams are meaningless, then they are completely meaningless, and study has shown the prevalence of symbols and how they are connected to waking life. Sure, it is statistical, but most psychological theories are based on statistical analysis. To say dreams are meaningless is to ignore all the collected anecdotal information, and dismiss it. This is not very scientific.
As to what's possible vs. what's reported and experienced:
My husband and I share dreams all the time, so I know that dreams can be shared- as a fact, not as a theory.
Most people, if not everybody, have reoccurring dreams, over and over, Not only is it experienced, it's not even uncommon, and certainly widely documented. Once again, to say 'it's not possible' is to ignore what actually happens to most people.
I especially don't understand why dreaming about the past is acceptable but shared dreaming (aka unconscious astral projection) isn't. What would be your rationale?
i'm not rational on this, hence why i stated i dont know anything about dreams. and my theories are unbased opinions of what i just read on here and what i personally think about such things. so like i said earlier, i know NOTHING. but thanks anyways for helping out in your own way.

By
rationale I meant reason (as in, why would you think that?), but you answered my question.

For arguments sake?
How about telling us what is
actually going on here.
um yeah sure, if you want.
it starts off in dessert-like place like egypt or something, could be india or china though...
anyways, it starts off with me looking through a window, no glass just an opening. i'm wearing a Gala dress, which tells me i'm female in this. and i see a figure coming out from the shadow lit areas to my right. she call's out to me, and says a certain name that i cant remember at this time...something forein or something....
we then travel down a hallway covered in shadows, as light from the surounding windows filter through. we make our way to a large room with a large table and 2 large chairs that royalty would use. she tells me to go sit in the left one and that my consort shall be with me soon. and all during this time she is speaking in this forein language, and yet i can still understand wat she means.
the rest is just flashes like if u had a bad childhood and can only remember bits and pieces.....
the consort comes out.
he sits
we look to eachother
and time seems to halt.
but the eyes. i remember those eyes. the same ones as my Ex.
and so thats about it. thats the dream i keep having. nothing new just keeps replaying back again and again.
I've never had a recurring dream before... Maybe when I was young but I couldn't remember my dreams back then, so I don't think that counts. How many times had you had this dream?
I've read in one of Sylvia Brown's books that everyone speaks Summerian on the other side after we die, but we all understand each other no matter which language we use, through telepathy or something.
Since you were speaking in a foreign language, then, its odd that your imagination would be making this up as a normal schema random brain fired dream. It seems more likely that something more is going on, like your soul is remembering something that is residual from a different lifetime.
Cool stuff!

sumerian eh?.....like cuniform stuff?.....i dont know much about that....thats why i'm asking.....
but do you really think it could be something like that?.....residual memory and all.....it just sounds too hollywood to me....even if i do think its a past life dream or something....it still sounds holloywood to me.....like only stuff that happens in movies....
http://ezinearticles.com/?Soul-Memory&id=1916367
This is just one article I found quickly on google about soul memory. There are many alleged accounts of people who have received body parts from donors of murdered bodies, and shortly after receiving those parts, they begin to have dreams about the person who they recceived the parts from,, and they were able to assist in solving the murders. There's a lot of literature on theories about soul memory if you want to read into it. It seems very hollywood, so you will have to read as much as you can and maybe even check references for reliability.
Also, I have seen television shows dedicated to past live research where they put the guests through past life hypnosis and recorded the findings. They then paid for a trip to the place of entrance (wherever it may be in the world,) to research if the people and places actually existed and if the guest actually remembered things. You might want to look up the show, it was on the discovery channel. Its not airing anymore - possibly because of lack of verification of the existance of past lives.
Its up to you to decide what you believe. I'm just letting you know, there's a lot of normal people who "claim" to have similar things happen to them. It's not just Hollywood. But its not a science either.
so your saying through the use of the info you just gave that within my dna is the memories of past lives? but how can that be? i dont think i'm even 1% egyptian or umerian {or whichever it is} i'm just a polish rushian. so idk...just trying to find out everything i can is all. but thank you so much for the info i shall have something to work with now. thanks.
I don't know much about DNA but it may be possible for you to have had past lives in Egypt. And perhaps your ex-girlfriend had a similar past life in that time and now after 2,000 years, the two of you are finally back together. Until you broke up with her and the recurring dream began...
