The other night I dreamed I was the Headmistress of a school that taught people (particularly teenagers and young adults) how to awaken and/or further develop their psychic abilities. Nothing much happened in the dream except that I was walking through the school and its campus. What do you guys think this dream might mean?
Maybe it means you have something to share.
or maybe you was really helping people when you was un concious and you only remembered a little bit of it :)
:NoY:
Lol... what would I (spiritually?) have to share when I can barely AP? XD
Maybe the dream was also a reaction that some part of me had to always thinking about how... underdeveloped(?) many people are when it comes to the grand scheme of things (especially spiritually speaking).
The dream did have a funny feel about it though. As if I were really there. :|

You have a spiritual gift that you have to share with young people. Do you do something in your life with young people or kids? If you can't go AP that doesn't mean you don't have a spiritual gift. You should explore what this gift is and discover it, then you will understand what the dream means.
God bless!
I've found myself in some kind of classes in dreams, never taught though. 90% of my dreams are me saving people. Small groups, large groups, one person, (like this morning) it has been that way for as long as I can remember. Yet in waking life, I freeze up if I have to talk to more than five people, face to face. It's like massive stage fright.
I think it would be awesome to be a teacher in the astral. :-D

what do you think it means?
maybe it means you're being to literal.
dreams are heavily subjective and heavily metaphorical/allegorical.
teaching people psychic development is too straightforward.
you need to analyze the way it made you feel.
that's how you'll discover the meaning.
(Sorry I haven't replied to you guys up until now... I had stopped tracking this topic for a while. XD)
(esp.) geass: I don't really do much of anything with young people or kids. I do practice a lot of meditation and the likes, though. I understand not to take any dream too literally. I try to pay as much attention to my dreams. This dream felt very different from my other dreams; even gave me a different feeling... that I had something I needed to share with others.
(esp.) Naykid: I've had a total count of 2 dreamstate lessons. Both of them were with the same teacher, and the lessons were both one-on-one. I remember the first one was about spirit guides... I can't quite remember what the last (to date) one was about though. Surprisingly, I still remember quite vividly what my teacher looked like. Long, flowing dark hair, dark eyes, and (both times) in a long white (casual-style) dress. I wonder if everybody remembers this clearly what their dreamstate teachers looked like, aha. XD

That sounds wonderful!
I can't be sure if I've ever met my spirit guide, but I did have some questions answered by a very tall man, wearing a brown, hooded, monk robe. I've yet to feel that much love and trust in any being,....astral or physical plane.
The schools in my experiences, were more of me being taught how to not be scared while flying.. I know that sounds silly, but after I hit a certain age, I begin to have serious fears with heights. So, I found myself at these obstacle courses, set up to help with my issues. One, in particular had several metal towers with harnesses and pulleys. I was hooked up and lifted up, waaaay up. There were people there, I just never really looked at them that closely, I never got the feeling they were, "teachers", just there to show me how to use the equipment. There was a HUGE red planet next to where I was at though.....that thing was awesome.
a reflection of your spirit a new desire of your soul.
The reason you quoted as in #3 is because that is what your spirit sees.
(esp.) Naykid: Wow. That sounds really neat! Kinda like being a stuntsman. XD The astral has many purposes, but I think that one of its main purposes is to ready us into the next level of ascenscion by reducing our fears, etc. So far I have not had lessons like that (aside from politics, I fear hardly anything else... so that should be an exciting lesson, haha XD)
(esp.) Enix: I never would have thought of it like that... how can I find out of this dream is a reflection of my spirit/new desire of my soul? And what do you mean by the quotation in post #3 being what my spirit sees?

I don't fear politics, it's most of the people behind it that I fear... I have to say Obama scares me the most though, but that's for another topic and time. lol
What do you mean, "level of ascension"?
Ahahaha, ya. I try *not* to get involved in *anything* political. I'm not too afraid of Obama. At least he seems to be better than Bush. *Dies* Oh, and by 'level of ascension' I mean our vibration level. Get it now? :-)

I'm sorry I should have explained that my head would explode if I even began to tell you what I think of Obama. :-D
I understand what you mean about the level of ascension now, it reminded me of the Celestine Prophecy. I don't think we are going to vibrate at such a high level we will simple cease, but I do see the astral as having different levels.... vibrations, would be a good term to use for it.
Oh! I gotchya now. The same thing would happen to me if I started telling you my thoughts on Bush. I don't think our vibrations will get that high either, but I do believe that our vibrations as a race are getting higher in general. That's what 2012 is all about after all, right? Getting just a little bit closer to the astral? :-)

 Ahhhh politics.
I agree with the 2012 situation. I don't believe the world is going to explode or any end-of-the-world scenario... but something, something to do with awareness is happening. Darkness is being pulled out the shadows. It seems like people are having to make black and white decisions and in my opinion, people are opting more for the darkness than the light. Having morals, ethics and a conscience these days, don't seem to be high on a large majority of the people on this planet's list. It's really frustrating. But I think 2012 will be the climax of whatever. lol
Perhaps my dream has sort of a niche to play in the whole grand scheme of 2012. Maybe it's supposed to help them accustom to their higher vibration level? Oh, and by the way, yes... I know not to take dreams literally. But this one's different, as in my gut is actually telling me to look at it as it is, rather than figuratively/metaphorically. Aha. Whoo.
obama is an android. a fat white android that wears a black man suit.
Woah! :-o Racist much? Why don't you take that to another thread, personalreality?

I had a dream this morning that little green ants were all over my hands, and figured out how to kill them, thus saving people from some deadly green ant virus.
I think what my subconscious was trying to tell me was, LOOK AT YOU HANDS and become lucid.. I failed. :x Ah well, next time.
that's what don juan teaches to perfect dreaming (note: this type of dreaming is more akin to inducing a lucid dream or shamanic journey, the precursors to AP). He says to look at your hands and as soon as they start melting look at something else, then when it starts melting look back at your hands. You continue to do that until you gain lucidity.

What he's getting you to do here is focus on one aspect of the dream (or really in this case two)...
The act of looking at your melting hands, then looking away starts you questioning yourself and your surroundings.
This is what Frank talked about in the posting of converting a LD into an AP.
I would like to point out one small thing though... you don't "gain" lucidity from this. You activate your cognitive awareness... this brings you FULLY conscious again, just as you are right now. Being "Lucid" only means that you're aware that you're dreaming... you might not have any full consciousness at the time.

Why do I get the feeling, most of the time I'm here, I'm in the middle of some weird male, p!ssing contest?
Anyhoo, I've been looking at my hands to stay lucid for years now. I don't know about this book, I just know when I feel myself....slipping away, drifting away..or whatever you guys want to call it, it helps me drawn my focus and then I can continue on my way.
I've never seen my hands melt btw. They look like hands, a bit out of focus, but hands. The best way I can describe it, is my consciousness comes to a focal point, drawing together when I look at my hands, thus making things clearer, not only in my visual scope, but in my mind.
Naykid: I fail at that too. Aren't you supposed to look at your hands every other minute of every day until your dream self does it and you wake up in your dream doing it then?
Xanth: Is this perchance mentioned in Frank's huge site on phasing?
Personalreality: *Gasp!* Did I just hear you say you agreed with someone? Lol, just kidding. :-D
Hi there Lady, how is your day going so far?
I never did that, but I used to be on these forums for hours a day, so it was pretty ingrained. That is where the concept came from, me reading on here..for the life of me I can't remember who to give the credit to, but thanks to them!
I can't prove this, but I'm pretty sure every time I have lucid dreams, or heck, not lucid, probably anytime I'm wandering out there, there is one person that hangs just outside my vision. He has only made himself known when I'm struggling against something...oh, like trying to read things, or trying to find a certain person, it's almost like he is making it difficult for me to focus or find that person. That's when I use the hand technique. Well, the one time I was reading what I think were some of my past-lives, I didn't use the hand technique and I swear I felt like I was going to pop a vein straining to see it. And having this guy over to the side tell me I shouldn't be reading that, made me want to see it that much more. Looking at your hands is by far less straining. I would recommend it to everyone that wants to extend their astral experience.. but don't look for melting, I'm glad I didn't remember anything about melting hands, because I have a feeling if I was to wait for my hands to melt, it would be too late to gain any focus back. That's just me though.

However, you also have to realize that dictionary definitions were made without the knowledge that we possess.
We simply can't use dictionary definitions for the stuff we discuss here. They're completely invalid.
My definition of Lucidity, in regards to dreaming, is vastly different.

Naykid: So far my day's good. Have you met this 'peripheral person' yet? Or has he still only been coming out when you 'need' him? I used to have dreams of this one guy (tall, thin, handsome with brown hair and eyes) who always acted quite affectionately towards me. Unfortunately I only had a handful of dreams of this guy, and I only was slightly conscious. I could never get conscious enough to really control myself and really 'talk' to him. A pity too. I would have liked to find out who he was. :|
Xanth: Actually, dictionary definitions were merely made for the purpose of giving meanings to things that previously had no 'meaning'. Period. *Bookmarks links* Thanks for those!
Fundamentally I have issues with dictionaries.
However, it provides a common language so we can communicate. Otherwise we get this situation where two people have different definitions of the same word.

"peripheral Person" I like that! No, I've never come face to face, that I know of. He did hand me a jacket once, but I didn't look at him. It's weird, because now that I think about it.. it just wasn't/isn't important to me to see him. I feel him more than anything else, I suppose that's good enough for me.
The one guy I did have a long conversation with, while walking side by side on a dirt road, was in a monk robe, thus not allowing me to see his face either. Hmmmm.. I did however have a short conversation with a little girl, I can still see what she looked like. She told me she was waiting to be born. If those men were guides, perhaps I'm not suppose to see them...
Personalreality: Well, I don't (have issues with dictionaries). As long as we all know what we're talking about, we're fine. :-P
Naykid: That's funny. I would believe most guides would want you to see them. Then again, I wouldn't quite know that. I still have yet to really 'meet' mine, after all. Guides are funny though. And she told you that? It would be funny if you ended up seeing a little girl like her in waking life. :-o :-)
i feel like dictionaries make the world "smaller" in human perception.
i mean there's not really anything i can do about it besides unlearn speech. but the idea still bugs me.

Yes, that is exactly what she said. :-)
I was trying to meet my guide and ended up at this house that I'd never seen before. She was standing in the other room and when I saw her, I asked her if she was my guide and that's what she said. The crazy thing is, I described everything to my best friend, which included a detailed description of the house and it's belongings. She then told her fiance. He freaked out because I had just described his house down to the boxes in garage. My friend hadn't moved nor seen the house yet...which is in Ireland. I thought it was going to be their child, but they are getting a divorce, sooo... lol
Personalreality: Keeping yourself from talking is like keeping yourself from breathing. Not really something you can do. Well... at least, not easily, anyway.
Naykid: Maybe it was some weird sort of precognitive dream? And who knows? Maybe your friend is still gonna have that little girl. Surely it's not *too* weird for someone to have a baby after a divorce, right? I mean, yea it's not really 'right'... but... yea. :| *Shuts up* :-P I remember once I had a dream where I was walking through one of my high school's hallways and saw this random kid (who I absolutely did *not* know) wearing a denim jacket. I see him the next day as I walk through said hallway... wearing that jacket. Lol. XD
Yeah, she still could have children and was talking of that very thing the other day. :-D It wasn't a dream though, it was a conscious projection. I just didn't get the end result I was expecting. Still a great validation non the less, for me anyhow.
I'd say that was a great validation too. I can't say much else though. I've no idea what a conscious projection is... is that just a fancier way of saying it was some sort of AP? :|

:-D Yes. Basically means I attempted to have an OBE, and I was
aware the whole time. I just didn't think I was going to end up at some random house. Because while I was shooting through the ceiling, I was saying in my head, "meet my guide", over and over. I have learned to not have expectations.
Don't you just request they come to you? That's how I thought it worked... then again, what doing I know about that? After 3 years of trying I've still yet to get anywhere past minor vibrations and into AP. <_<

I hope you have better luck in the future!
It seems that way to me too. But I heard it works. And... if you feel really guilty about being rude, I suppose you can always throw in a whiny little "Pleeasssee" in there somewhere, ahaha.

random question.. how are guides decided to be guides? What do guides do when they're not guiding? Why would a guide be interested in guiding me? Are they just people that want to help or are some designated? It's a very interesting subject to me due to the implications of the notions they create. That was rather off topic though, and I don't want to just explode with questions. Anyways, I think its all in the manner of how you try to approach them and the energy you emit in doing so. If its warm, fuzzy, and loving, I'm sure they will return it to you in kind :-D I'm just a rather independent person, and guides are something I think I would compare to as other people who wished to share the same as I do, guides.. as expressed most commonly seem too servantly to me, and I don't want to bring them down to such a level. I would rather call them helpers, the humanitarians of the nonphysical.
Quotehow are guides decided to be guides?
I have no idea, but I've often said, that I don't want to incarnate again, I want to be a guide.
QuoteWhat do guides do when they're not guiding?
Once again, I have no idea, not a guide yet. BUT.. I would love to think, doing whatever they want. Checking in on friends or family, hanging with the local guides. That kind of stuff.
QuoteWhy would a guide be interested in guiding me?
Again, have no idea. I don't think you feel you need anyone to guide you, so I think you're safe.
QuoteAre they just people that want to help or are some designated?
I've wondered that too! I think most of them are souls that have had a physical life..of course, I have no way knowing that for sure.

I'm just a rather independent person, and guides are something I think I would compare to as other people who wished to share the same as I do, guides.. as expressed most commonly seem too servantly to me, and I don't want to bring them down to such a level. I would rather call them helpers, the humanitarians of the nonphysical.
So, it's semantics? If I call them helpers would that ease your mind? :-)
Yin: Guides are also called helpers. Any word that is used to describe 'someone' who helps can also be used to describe the guides. I get your point though, about trying to not lower them to the point that they seem servantly. They're still beings like us... except without... physical prisons.
Naykid: I dunno about you... but I *certainly* do *not* want to ever be in the physical again. The surroundings around us (i.e. nature and landscapes) many at many times be beautiful. But life can get a bit tiring. Especially if you could tell how many times you've been reincarnated into a human. XD I think if I had a choice in the matters of my future incarnation/life, I would love to be an astral teacher or helper. Pretty much any astral being that helps humans raise their spiritual levels/vibrations. :-)

more so that after reading you two lovelies talking about guides I got to realizing the definition I had of guides over various readings was completely inaccurate so I sought to remake it with what I thought of them. It seems I'll just have to ask a guide those questions if I really want those answers, lol, which is logical. Call them what you wish.

:-D Thank you, Yin.
Yin: Definitions are irrelevant in some cases (like our talk about guides). If it's easier to call them by how you see them such as you and I do on guides, then go ahead with that. Good luck with getting answers with (your) guide. :-)

mM, I don't think I have a guide though, at least one that is "dedicated" to me .. I can tell I'm going to be super stubborn about it until I break down, but maybe that's the way its supposed to be.. whoever my guide is needs to prep for an explosion of curiosity.

*doesn't get it*
Naykid: Yay. Somebody got it. :-D
Yin: That strikethrough meant that I acknowledged ... him/her ... but had nothing to say. Lol.

ah, I wasn't sure what cryptic secret messages were being hidden from me.. :-P
Nothing secret here. I still have no idea what she meant by that. I thought it either meant, I'd been stricken from the rest of the conversation, I need to cease what I was doing, or I was no longer a part of her reality.
My natural reaction was to laugh and agree. I do have two teenagers and that comes in handy when they start acting like teens.
It's alllllllllll good Yin. :-)
Yin: No secret messages in this thread here.
Naykid: I'm not ignoring you or anything. Stay and chat a bit more, eh? :-D
On Astral Chat? lol I went there yesterday, have no idea if I was at the right place. There were a bunch of names on the list, but no one was speaking.
Sorry about being off topic. :-)

If anyone needed to be stricken, it'd be me, as I'm definitely the intruder lol.

usually the only ones who hang out there are PR, me, chris, Xanth, nodes, and Gbob. I'm never there during the day as I'll be at work, unless its on the weekend.
