used to be able to fly and change my dreams

When I was just a kid I used to dream a lot that I would be flying. After time passed, I could no longer do so ( whith few exceptions). I could only change my dreams, no matter how much the tried, they could never kill me,lol. I even knew when they were coming. Anyway, it seems I can't so it anymore. Anyone knows why?
