3rd official Lucid Dream! I am sitting in the lounge of a boat when something strange happens. In my head I start to think about it and I realize, Oh.. I'm dreaming!! My vision got really blurry from the excitement of realizing this, as I had never been able to realize I am dreaming in a dream before. I quickly calmed down and remembered what I wanted to try the next time I had a lucid dream.  In Robert Waggoners book, "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner self," he does an experiment with the lucid dream by asking each dream figure, "what do you represent?" To his surprise, each dream figure answered with a unique, different response. So I walk down the hall of this ship and see two girls talking on the stairs. "hey! What do you represent?" I remember feeling strange asking this as it was the first lucid statement I have ever made in a dream. "Industrialization" she responds. So I ask the other girl and she says "Industrialization as well." I then notice two men standing behind me and I ask them the same question. From the excitement of it all I can't recall what the two men said. I thanked them all for their time and turned my attention to the hallway.
   I remember in Waggoner's book he asks the dream its self a question. In doing this, Waggoner was always shown a unique response from someone behind the curtains who seemed to have set up the dream. At one point, Waggoner reads about something called a "feeling-tone." Waggoner uses this as an experiment to see what happens when he asks the dream space about something he is completely oblivious to. In doing this, Waggoner has an experience of joining a larger whole of consciousness, completely forgetting his physical name, life, etc. So I naturally want to experience this more than anything. I already know, it's the feeling I've been looking for. I think about asking my dream space this same question however, I get a strange feeling that, that wouldn't be the best idea quite yet. I feel as though I am not ready for this experience. Not wanting to force anything, I push on to another question. I yell out to the dream space, "Hey! How do I change my Lucid Dream?" Upon saying that, my vision starts to blur intensely. I get a little frightened but remember what I just asked. I hold on to consciousness and just stay focused on what's In front of me. Everything starts to go black and I accept it. Maintaining focus, I start to see the outline of a figure appear in the black nothingness. Focusing on that, other things in my field of vision start to become clear now. Before you know it, Boom, I'm in another Lucid Dream. Sadly though, I let my mind wander too much and lost lucidity in the dream. All I remember is walking behind a man.
   For my next Lucid Dream, I will try interacting with the dream figures more, to see if I can get some valuable information or experience.

Its strange though, I do remember being completely lucid in my dream yet when I think back, it still feels fuzzy as if it WAS a dream. you know what I mean?
Is this common?

yea, i would say so.  dream memory is weird.

lately i've been keeping a dream journal and i have noticed a significant increase in how much i remember each day from dreams.  if you follow my journal from day one, each successive day has more detail (both in theme and in other sensory systems besides 'vision').  but as much as my recall has improved, all it takes is something unusual to mess me up.  so for the past 4 days i have been abruptly awoken in the morning by my new kitten attacking me.  so the first thought i have when i wake up is "OW! Why does my body hurt, how can i stop it?!".  By the time i've stopped the kitten from attacking me, the dream has faded and i can't remember much of it and what i do remember is very fuzzy. 

writing it down FIRST THING is the best way to help recall.  plus i've read recently that becoming more aware of your surroundings on a regular basis helps.  in your daily life take time to just notice what's going on around you.  it becomes habit and helps you remember more details about dreams that can solidify the experience more effectively.
