Remembering your dreams..

I was introduced to AP and Oobe by a friend a few months ago
and was very interested in it.. i started practicing and training my
"sloppy" mind to concentrate by using various methods from
meditation to staring at a candle..

The question is.. i hardly ever remember my dreams.. i remember
at least one per month.. and they are normally not normal.. they
switch from a random topic to another random topic.. What ways
are there to start remembering every nights dreams and how to
make them lucid.. But mainly how to start remembering them

id really appreciate your comments and help..

I use a hand-held recorder.  I then transcibe it.  I used to write by hand period, but found I had to wake up and move around too much thus causing me to loose alot more detail.  

Another thing I do sometimes if I'm waking from a dream, I slowly turn to one side and just let my mind wonder, then I repeat on the other side.  Sometimes I recall things depending on the position I'm in..  I have no idea why that works.  Perhaps it is the position I'm in when I'm dreaming whatever I remember..?

Actually, this is perfectly normal.  Once you improve your recall then you'll have more control of them.  But to say they're not normal- well, I don't think there are  any 'normal' dreams.

I need to get myself one of those hand-held jobbies.  Are they expensive, Nay? I have been having some wild hypnagogics lately and then forget about them like an hour later.  Maybe if I had one of those I'd remember them better.

I just looked up at Radio Shack, not that you have to go there, just getting ideas, but you can get a decent one for thirty bucks.  My best friend gave me mine but the tapes are reasonable.

I bet you will find you remember LOADS more.

What are you used for? and how do you use them? transcribe? sorry about the newbnessness..everyone was one once

You record your voice on them.  Instead of writing your dreams down, you just talk into the recorder and tape them.  Transcribe means, I listen to what I taped and then I write it down.
