Title: I want to learn how
Post by: Tom on April 22, 2003, 16:01:17
There is something the idea of WILD reminded me of. When waking up there were times when the dream had been cut short and I had wanted to go back to that specific dream at that point. Thinking about the dream turned into a sort of fantasy about it and slipped into a new dream as sleep returned. Sometimes this would be lucid, but only if my wanting the dream had extended to being lucid in it.

Fat_Turkey,

Check out this website:

http://lucidity.com/

Also, very good book is Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D. & Howard Rheingold

Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake. --Thoreau

I was also going to suggest Stephen LaBerge's book.  There are a few books out there about this.  I have one called "The Tibetan Yogas of Sleep and Dream."  That one is from a Tibetan point of view and quite interesting.  Can't think of the author's name right now.  You should be able to track it down by name though.

Also, the site www.ld4all.com has some decent forums that I post on from time to time as "Lostboy."  They have extensive archives of their forums and the community is pretty big.

Fat_Turkey!
Take MJ-12's advice. I always do that when I have nightmares. I always rethink the whole nightmare but in a different way. I always think of my Spirit Guide (or whatever you call them here) coming to save me! HOORAY! ... It always works for me...

Can anybody point me in the right direction of how to WILD or just basically become lucid in a dream? Books or website links would be appreciated and maybe some general feedback would as well.

Thanks
