Is there any way to induce a nightmare? Both unaware and lucid nightmares are fine with me. What about pills or supplements of vitamins and nutrients in my diet?

Please give your thoughts.
If you have any need of a dream interpreter or anything similar, PM me. I'll try to help you out.
And if there's something strange in the neighborhood, don't call Ghostbusters. PM me and I'll attempt to guide you through your problem.

Yeah, go to sleep at night and think about everything you fear... then visualize scenarios where you play out this fear.  Do this while falling asleep.

Not sure why you would want to do this... unless you're trying to face your fears.  Then I could see the potential benefit.

That's what I figured. I just hadn't done it yet.

I am pretty much just interested to see how it would play out. It would be good for that though.

Also, my most memorable dreaming experiences have been nightmares. It's the emotional response to the dream that triggers the conversion of the dream from short term memory to long term memory. Generally, the greater emotional response in or out of the dream, the more brain power or priority you place on the dream.

And it might also be a way of inducing LD's. If you see a terrific monster you may realize that you're dreaming. However, in my experience, fear overrides logic. So, if you see something that scares you, you are more likely to run away from it in terror than you are to stand there and think about it.

Short answer: For science.

Thanks for sharing. I'd like to develop a "Lucid Nightmare Induction" technique. I just needed someone to back me up on it first. :)

Hi,
I started a topic a while ago 'want a nightmare'.
Use the search button to find it and have a read.  Any questions are welcome.

Hey all,

I remember when I was about 5 or 6 years old and laying in bed talking with my brothers about good dreams, just before saying goodnight I remember saying "I bet I won't have a bad dream tonight" I was very wrong, I could never remember what it was I dreamed but it terrified me for days after and I couldn't think about the experiance for years, I couldn't even talk about it up untill a few years ago (I'm now 24) so that's what once worked for me

I read this post thread last night before bed and it gave me nightmares haha
