Shame this thing wakes you up right after a dream, but if this app can really detect when you start dreaming, it could be modified to send some sort of cue that you are dreaming, such as simply saying "You are dreaming" over and over. Maybe I'll email Dr Wiseman and ask him to do a lucid dreaming app. Actually, there might already be one!

There's an app similar to that called DreamZ. It lets you record your own audio cue to be played when you are dreaming. Haven't tried it out yet though.

Eh, seems a bit hokey. Here's the science behind it:

"After placing the phone on the bed it can detect when a sleeper is not moving - signifying the onset of dreaming."

As if a person is always moving around when they aren't dreaming. I think for this to be a reality it would need to read brainwaves.

I said the same thing on AD that I'm saying here:  Putting a cellphone by your head for extended periods of time may give you brain cancer, especially if you're young and your cranium is not as thick as an older person.  Don't do it!
