Title: Just a thought on sound with LD
Post by: AJDIN on September 07, 2011, 08:16:29
Just had a thought yesterday, when you realize you are lucid dreaming sometimes you tell yourself "I'm dreaming"

Was thinking... why not have a sound track and then have your own voice 1-2hours into the track say "I'm dreaming"

Has anyone tried this before?

That's an interesting idea.  :)

I haven't tried it personally, but perhaps you should.  Let us know how it goes.

I wouldn't know how to start to be honest man,

I'm thinking some audio editing program to put in a voice recorder in your music file?

But what music?

White noise maybe?

Hmmmmm i'll check it out

I would suggest finding a relaxing song or nature sounds, load it up in something like Audacity and record your voice on a 2nd track, and time it up to where you think you need it. If it doesn't work, you could go back and move your voice around the timeline until you find the sweet spot.

I've read where it is useful to use another person to help with the sound aspect. While you're sleeping, have someone (preferably that you trust) go into your room or place that you're sleeping, and have them check for REM sleep, then have them whisper your ear, "(Your Name), you are sleeping" or "Do a reality check". Others have said that this method is much more efficient than the sound recordings.
