Lucidity is not black or white; it's more shades of gray...
Just look during daytime.  Sometimes you are aware of everything around you.  And other times you just daydream all day long...
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Lucidity is knowing that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. There is also a level of consciousness that exists whereby you can usually control what you are trying to do, like flying, for example.

A really good website with lots of information on lucid dreams is the following:

I sometimes have dreams where, in the dream, I'm having a lucid dream, and then I'll wake up in the dream (not lucid) and be talking to other people in the dream about the lucid dream I had. ahh, it's confusing.

last night i had a dream where i think i was lucid, but i didnt wake up straight away after it and write anything down, so i forgot alot of it.

but the memory i have of it isnt like the other lucid dream i had. it was almost as if being lucid was part of the dream.... kinda hard to explain and i hardly remember any of it... but i do remember i was "lucid" for a while, 10 or so minutes. being my second time i feel 10 minutes just wasnt right.

so is it possible to be dreaming that youre lucid, without actually being lucid??

sorry if this is confusing.... it is to me.
