Hi all...
My girlfriend gets up for work before I do, so I usually go back to sleep after her alarm goes off. I had trouble getting back to sleep this morning, so I was awake for a short while after she got up. When I finally got back to sleep, I was dreaming that I was in my bedroom (where I was sleeping). There was some commotion outside (in the dream) so I went out to have a look. After I got back my bedroom (still in my dream), I noticed that the bedroom was different, so I concluded that I was dreaming. The weird thing is I thought I had just gone to sleep, after coming back in the bedroom from checking out the commotiong outside - but that was all in the dream. So I basically knew I was dreaming, but my point of reference of the last time I was awake was off, because that, too, was a dream.
Anyways, I had recently read a post by Frank where he suggested to ask to communicate with your Essense instead of asking for a Guide. I decided to give this a try, although I didn't believe anything "real" would happen. I know that Frank is big on "anything that happens to you is real," but it is hard for me to come around to that. So, after asking to communiciate with my Essense I noticed my whole body, especially my arms, tingling. I started to float up and backwards to the right, feet first. Once I got close to my bedroom wall, my fear reaction started to kick in and I tried to wake myself up. Usually I am good at waking myself up, but maybe because I was dreaming from within a dream and my point of reference of the physical (I wake myself up by feeling for the phsyical) was off, I couldn't wake myself up. Just before I started to get really scared my girlfriend walked into the physical bedroom and it woke me up.
I am going to try this again and try to go with the flow and keep my fear of the unknown down. Has anyone had an experience like this?[/code]

Well i have never had an experience like that but that is interesting. i have had dreams where i was in control but i thought it was really life because of the setting. So i just went with the flow and i would just wake up. then i would get really mad.

TheJza,

I read the thread too. It sounds like sound advice. I also believe in more advanced spiritual help. Different circumstances call for different measures, imo. If I'm all cozy in my bed, calling my Essense is worth a go. If I'm met with horrific circumstances, I would tend to call on something else. I can't amagine trusting my Essense experimentally. I haven't evolved to more advanced thinking.  :)

Yes, I've had a few false awakening experiences:
1. Time travel (thinking I was in my childhood bed awakening at night).
2. A disembodied thumb in my hand one night.
3. A strange person in the bed with me. I was aware of this being only a
few seconds before waking to this reality.

And more.
