Lucid dream vs. Astral realm

I've had 4 lucid dreams in the past week. A record for me! I'm wondering if when I dream I'm in what is known as the astral realm or am I just playing out things in my subconscious mind?

I recently dreamed of Donald Sutherland being my father and Jude Law being my friend. I just saw movies with them starring the past week. That must be my subconscious mind. Or, are their astral beings also being projected into the astral realm and interacting with mine? Sounds unlikely because movie stars must be in thousands of dreams every night and couldn't get around that much in the astral realm all at the same time.

Is the astral realm a collective unconscious soup of everybodys' astral counterpart all interacting?

Just some thoughts I'd like some insights into if anyone cares to comment.

Thanks.

Can be both, but most likely its your own mind.

As far as this is concerned: i am almost 99% sure that those are your own renderings and not the real D.S. and J.L. ... The chances of them projecting into the same location as you are nearly zero. Definitely when you take into account you recently saw a movie with them figuring in it, I think that once again this is your own mind...

(there is another thread about this topic)
In my opinion the astral realm is a 'place' like earth, but you can run into other peoples astral counterpart there (just as you can run into other people on earth).
But the difference isn't that big anyway ...

tryingOBE,
Interesting about your dream. I too have to think that you were influenced by seeing these people "on screen"(collective screen), which is similar to our own personal screens. There are always meanings worth pondering, no matter how a dream comes about, in my opinion. Time will tell.

I will share my personal experiences on the same subject. No small subject for sure!

Sorry for the length of my post.  :)

I heard once that when a public figure fades from public view, the general population has a tendency to think that person is dead. I'm not sure what this means (or even if it's true?). This does seem to show me that untruths are possible on a mass scale. I remember a long time ago while I was sick I fell asleep in front of the t.v. On t.v. there was an interview or something about Carly Simon (singer). I was sick and paying little attention to what was being said. I don't listen to Carly Simon's music, and I barely know what she looks like. Anyway, I drifted off to semi-sleep and sick with the flu (or something like that). I heard and watched this program while in this bizarre state. During this program (in my head), Carly Simon died. After I awoke a little while later I really thought C.S. had died, at least I was kind of sure she had died.As time passed I heard something on the media somewhere about Carly Simon, who apparently was very much alive. Hmmmm...I was wrong! To this day this misperception interests me a little. Sick body = false truths?

I have another weird dream experience about George C. Scott (actor). He was also on a t.v. program years ago but I can't remember the name of it. In fact, there was some passing of time before I could connect the face with the name. I had a few repeating dreams of G.C.S. 's persona and physical characteristics. It wasn't until much later that  I did remember the actors name. All I knew was that he was an actor. Once I remembered his name, I looked up his Bio on the internet. There was only one thing that struck a cord with me, something I didn't know about him. He had attended journalism school in the same town I live in. So, I wonder if there isn't an essence of him here that I may have picked up on in my dreams? Or, just coincidence? He could have just shown up in my dreams for the most popularly accepted reason, as a male authority figure.

This is an interesting topic. In my little bit of learning in my few years of dream recall, my personal tendencies seem to be integrating with inanimate objects more than other people.

I can't resist, one more. When I first started with dream recall a few years ago, I had a dream with the guy from the old t.v. show Quantum Leap. I couldn't remember his name (and the name escapes me now). And...why on earth would I have such a weird dream?! The main character (also referred to as star) was standing in this strange place that I find hard to describe in the physical. Afterwards, it was easy to look up his name on the internet, because I remembered the name of the show he was on. There was no connection to him from what I could briefly read up on about him. However, interesting that his brother lived in the same city I grew up in, in years past. Again, essences in passing? As time passed again, I've come to be intrigued on the subject of quantum physics. It's been a hard subject to grasp, but I'm patient with important things. Not long ago while waking up, I remember repeating the words, quantum physics over and over again. So, what prompted the earlier dream? Still a mystery to me!

GeKKo,
This subject has been discussed? Do you have a link? I would be interested in reading what else has been posted.
