Lucid dreaming is dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming. So if you know you're dreaming about a lucid dream then perhaps that's lucid too? Anyway, a really good website to check out that might help is the following:

Very best,
My first lucid dream was one within another dream (it was quite funny). In my opinion, as long as you are aware you are dreaming you are in a lucid dream, no matter how many other dreams you are dreaming it in.
I don't really think it's possible to just dream about having lucidity. I mean, if the dream involved you thinking/knowing that you're dreaming, then it must be at least a very low level of lucidity, right?
I once had a really strange dream when I was working to lucidity.
Anyway I had a dream and then the moment I woke up I thought ah yes I better right it down and so I did, full detail and everything and then I went back to sleep and dreamed and woke up again intent on writing it all down which I did again. Then I went to asleep again and dreamed...
This time I woke up, got my journal out to write in the new dream an I found that the other dreams that I had wrote in there, weren't there! I hadn't actually written them down. Just dreamed that I had, that was freaky and funny all in one.
I had a very wierd lucid dream. when I thought I woke up from it, I was still dreaming and didn't realize it. it was like a dream inside a lucid dream. very wierd.
How can you tell between having a lucid dream and just dreaming about having one?
