Astral Dynamics was a life-changing book for me in terms of energy work and astral projection.

Is there anything comparable for dreams and lucid dreaming?  Something that's so comprehensive and useful?

Logic

The Dreaming Universe, by Dr. Fred Alan Wolfe. Its more of speculation than self exploration, but it is definately an enlightening read.

I enjoyed the Fred Alan Wolfe book I read, so I'll definitely check this out although I'm still hoping to find something with exercises and such like AD has.

Tombo

Check out stephen Laberge "exploring the world of lucid dreaming"

Carlos Casteneda wrote an interesting book about lucid dreaming, but I forget what it's called. :?

Dean

Check out www.consciousdreaming.com it has a downloadable book by Marc VanDeKeere. you'll pay $10US to get it though. good read has basically everything i know about lucid dreaming in it + more. Heaps of basics plus some advanced stuff (which are good) + at the back heaps of recommended reading and links. the La Berge & Fred Alan Wolfe are both mentioned and considered great. La Berge is top of the list & suggested as a classic must read! i haven't read it though so can't personally comment.

the most consistently successful method i've found to induce lucid dream is the wake up back to sleep method. wake up through the night (either it happens or alarm) then stay awake for 30-90mins. go back to sleep and induce lucidity.

Haha, Dean, I actually have that book and forgot about it!  You're right, it is an excellent book and I found it very useful.  I should give it a read again.  Thanks for the reminder.

Naiad,
I stumbled across Astral Dynamics when I was searching for dream information. It really helped answers some questions for me. There wasn't alot about traditional dreams in it though, that really surprised me!

If your interested in some insightful info, Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss is very good. It gets you thinking. :)
