Sounds like you survived. Do you have other dreams that come true?
The dream could have been some sort of symbolic 'watch out' and 'don't hit your head' type of premonition. There's a lot one can guess at, but what is interesting is the fact that you did have the blood, sutures, etc., after you had the dream. Thus the dream appears to have been a premonition type dream about hitting your head.

Maybe you did die when you hit your head in a parallel timeline and saw that. When dreaming or OBE, we have more access to parallel times and locations.
Of course you could have just had a messed up dream, woke up, fell out of bed, and hit your head.
Through looking at my own dreams and such I have found that people tend to read too much into the dreams that they have and don't accept them at face value.
Yes the injurey itself was rather similar from dream to reality, hence the memory flash. The passing out part could have been two things.
1, Fear, or rather the fear that you dreamed of dieing in that manner and then hitting your head. The brain freaks out because your belief system says its not possible so it turns every thing off. You fall over.
2, The injury. You could have just smacked your head hard enough cause you to black out. Head injuries will do that easily. It doesn't take much to knock a person out. The dream being so fresh in your mind came to the surface at the last second.
All in all, me personally, I would not worry about it too much and chalk it up to happenstance.

I had a very interesting but scary dream last night, I am hoping that someone can help me figure out what happened. I was dreaming last night that I was flying over a cemetery, I saw many shadow figures waving at me, however, I could not make any of them out. I recall only one name on a tombstone, and it was my last name. I remember feeling very scared, I was not sure what was happening. I remember as I was flying, blood started dripping from my head. I remember feeling the warmth of the blood on my head. I touched my head with my hand, I looked and it was saturated in blood. My dream ended right there, however, as I woke up I fell off my bed and hit my head on the night stand. As I felt my head as I was wide awake, I looked at my hand and saw the blood. At that moment I saw a flash picture in my head of the tombstone with name and passed out. I awoke in the hospital? after 13 sutures in back of my head, an am left wondering what happened to me? Can anyone help me?
