In the dream world you can remember things that you have forgotten during the time you are awake. That is a first important fact to know. You dream world seems to have an complete memory (I would not dare say 'absolute').

From my very own experience, "deja-vus" are indeed (and in part, not always) dreams that we have of our future. And when our future happens, and we don't remember we dreamed it, we have that sens of "deja-vu". This happened to me when I was a kid, and I dreamed that I was in the elevator with a neighbour from the 5th floor and that accidentally he skiped my floor (1st), then he stopped the elevator and pushed 1 for me. The next day it happened exactly that way. I had many other "deja-vus" but without the memory of the dream, only the memory of the event. These days I have dreams that are often vision of the future, but not my future, rather some big event in the news. Often the memory of the "deja vu" or of the "event of the future" (premonition) are exact replica of how I remember, after a long time, the way I have lived these events. So that it seems that during our dreams, we are having knowledge not of the event it self but of its memory, as if it had already happend long ago. It seems to me that the future is already there for us, waiting to be lived and we are tapping into that source of information during our sleep/dreams.

Keep an eye open for premonitions!

I maybe had a premonition. Although I can't really remember I had a dream or that I was just daydreaming. It was about a train-accident in the place that I life (not a serious one) and some time later there really was a train accident there. Not a big accident, just a train bumping into a platform.

By the way, I like what you said about dreams and deja vu's. I will keep my eyes more open to these things.

And if dreams are predictions of the future my future will be very exciting! I dream a lot of being followed by people, or people wanting to catch me. Not in a bad way, but in an exciting way, like I'm a special agent. What does it mean that I always have exciting, adventurous dreams in which I'm being followed?

From my experience I see that only a very small fraction of dreams are premonitory. The rest of the dreams might either be with a lot of symbolism and therefore difficult to interpret, and other dreams seem to be just dreams from our mind. Premonitory dreams are usually vivid and you remember them easily when you wake up in the morning. If they are very explicit premonition then things will happen exactly the same way as in the dream and just a few days later...

Keep a dream journal

I've had this strange but cool experience while I was dreaming. I was dreaming that I was helping a woman in the store that I work in. After a period of time, I remembered (there in that dream) that I've had exactly the same dream before. I knew it was a deja vu, but then a real long one. Then I got this strange feeling that I just discovered something really important. A sort of an insight in the connection between dreaming and deja vu's. After that I woke up and now I can't really remember having that dream, of me helping the woman, twice. But in the dream I knew that it was an exact copy of a dream I had before. Strange..

I'm just wondering on what could be the connention between deja vu's and dreaming? In the dream it really seemed to meant something. Any thougths?
