Strange dream

So, I tried to AP before I went to bed for about 10 minutes, I got tired and went to sleep, put some music on and closed my eyes. Then I had a dream where I was trying to astral project, just staying in my bed with my eyes closed. But my body started getting numb all over, my left leg was moving on its own and I got scared, tried to get up but my body felt so drained of energy. Managed to get up on my butt and I just couldn't stay that way, my eyes were closing on their own and I would fall back in my bed with the same numb sensation in my body, after that I started having a normal dream which turned into a nightmare later on.
The strangest thing about this is that I could hear the song that was playing while "trying to AP" all the time, but as soon as another dream started I couldn't hear it anymore. Also, my eyes were closed all the time and all I could see was black (except the part where I slightly opened my eyes for a second) , after the other dream started I could see again.

Also, the first dream seemed like it was real, like I really was trying to astral project. Not like the other dreams where you just go with the flow

Dreams ARE Astral projections.  Just not-so-lucid projections.
You felt like you weren't going with the flow as much because you were more lucid than in a "Normal dream."
Personally,  if I felt these exit symptoms, I wouldn't fight it.  They're natural and you go through it every night - and who knows you may have had a full blown conscious projection if you had just let the river take you so to speak.

It's hard, very hard. I probably would've had 3 or 4 astral projections by now if I was able to just stay calm. But for some reason, even those strange little things satisfy me, lol.

Teach yourself to stay calm, I can assure you it's not just a good skill for exiting.
If you get too fearful of things in an OBE, your fears can worsen the environment and attract negativity (If you believe negativity exists).
If you get too excited in an OBE, the OBE can cease and you get roped back in by your body.
Ground yourself.  That is, stay calm and observant always.
Early on you'll probably have the famed "fear test."  I had mine recently, seems like almost every experienced APer has had one and the point is to teach yourself to stay calm.  And if you can't it starts to become a roadblock in your spiritual evolution.
I didn't have my first OBE until I after stopped getting excited and nervous when my heart started racing for example.

Point of story - Calm and Observant ALWAYS  :-)
