Not remembering dreams: Memory or inability to translate?

I'm finding that a lot of times the information in dreams is absorbed, sort of in bulk and more as a concept than a series of sequential events like waking life. I just listened to Tom Campbell talking about this and found what he said resonated with my experiences. Like a dream character communicates with you telepathically as a concept. You're sure the character said something, but there are no words. It feels like you must have forgotten them, but they were never there.

So what I'm wondering if we sometimes mistakenly think we forgot parts of a dream because the information contained in it was absorbed as a concept and we weren't able to translate it into words, it's just information. This seems to happen quite often.

Any thoughts on that?

Another thing on the subject of information, sometimes I can see dreams as just being informational and am aware there were no events, just an instruction set for the dream. There was no need to go through the motions of the dream events, just take in the information about what happened. When it happens, I am aware of it being done in order to cover more ground so to say, for higher efficiency. Maybe that is always the case, I am just not always aware of it.

I will answer this the best I can because I also question this.

#1. I believe we retain the memory/information of those Dreams when that info pertained becomes valid or needed in our physical lives. Even on a subconscious level, they are still part of us!  :-)

#2 I have Dreams like this too, I call these Downloads because all they seem to have in them is pure information. But on a level that I can't quite decode. I see them coming in, but they don't really make any sense to me. They seem to come in either as a flush of words/symbols or even codes that I can't quite decipher. I never really get a chance to decipher them anyways, it always happens so fast. I usually will awaken right in the middle of one of them and it completely leaves my disoriented. I have to get up out of bed and walk around the house after one because it leaves me feeling really weird on a physical level.

Other times I awaken while my body is "healing/regenerating" itself and can feel that immense heat that is being produced from that action. This also leads to a walk around the house to cool down.

Thanks for your ideas, and glad to see someone who has the same experiences.

Yes I agree, sometimes the memories are conceptual too so there is almost no place to put them? (I'm struggling for words). Our human physical memory has a hard time storing these abstract concepts.

This describes some of my dreams pretty well. I am really interested in the idea of information and wonder if that is the basic unit of our reality. Maybe we are just loading instructions into our reality simulators. Anyway, I have more ideas about that and could on...  :-D

So do I and could I, but it would border on concepts most likely found in the "X files", lol!  :-D

Maybe I should just start a thread on that subject.
