Dream creature

[Gyakushu]

I had this dream and in it was this odd looking creature that looked almost like a dog but a very big head that was circular but stretched vertically with these big black eyes and a smile that stretched high on the far sides of its head, the creature was also dark and very cartoonish looking.  It seemed to know my presence was there and also i sensed that it had a very knowing presence as if to be very wise.  The odd thing is that my girl friend also related to have seen a creature described as the same when i told her my dream.  But she had seen it when she was in the hospital from suffering a stroke, the creature sat there just smiling sitting perched like emanating a wise knowingly presence.  Well i'm taking a far out chance seeing if any could relate to this dream or know of this dream creature so any one who can relate something it would be very appreciated.

Thanks for your input runlola, it's neat that you mentioned dogs being a protective presence, because there were two dogs in the same room as the odd creature that i described.
