I've layed down in bed with the intetion to astral project, but I was way too tired and I fell asleep. Had a long, nice dream but at one point it turned into a nightmare, being chased by something, and 3 seconds after they began to chase me I just stopped and said 2 or 3 times: "It's just a dream, It's just a dream, It's just a dream", and then the scenery changed and everything began to turn white as I was waking up. It's weird, because I didn't know it was a dream untill the nightmare began, and when I said "It's just a dream" it felt like I knew I was dreaming from the beggining. And when I woke up my eyes were shut and my body was all numb.

Is it possible to just say "I'm dreaming" inside your dreams, but don't actually realize it? Because for me it definetly felt like that.

Yes, the desire only needs to be imprinted into your subconcious.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

It sounds like you are making progress. Your focus on OBE and LD techniques has led to your subconscious dreaming self recognizing a nightmare and shutting it down.

It may have been an instinctive response and seemingly something beyond your conscious control, but that is just for the moment, your awareness will build from this.

Think about this and the 'connection' you're trying to establish with your dreaming self.

Maybe try an affirmation now- "I am aware in my dreams and I have control." Say it three times every night for a few weeks. See what happens.

Well done!
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
