I'm having random premonition-type dreams..

Hey fellas .. this is kinda new for me.. Lately I've been dreaming things and when I wake up they show up in some kind of way that very day.  Heres an example of a day I dreamed 2 things and both happened that same day upon waking up..

1st dream--=  I was holding a baby kitten .. the color was a very unique looking gray/silver color and in my dream I was admiring it's color overall... I hate cats..

2nd dream--= I was holding a gun and aiming at some random targets throughout my house (pictures,furniture, etc..)

When I woke up .. it took about 2 hours for the first dream to come true.. it happened when I met someone who lives next door to me in the apartments.. she was letting her dog out and we just made small-talk and I asked if the dog bites... she says "Not but let me get the one that does" .. and she brings out her cat.. SAME EXACT COLOR as the kitten in my dream.. yet this was an older cat...

The second dream showed up later that day when I went to the mall... the national guard or whatever set up a tent in the mall.. inside this tend was a huge LCD screen and you can shoot a lifelike assault rifle at this screen at targets... I was asked to try it but I nicely refused stating... "Its ok .. I did it already" which a slight chuckle ..heh..

My concern is .. I'll have many dreams some nights.. they are very random.. Some long , some short .. some fun.. some scary .. and the rest.. just .. odd...    What I'm concerned about is the fact that .. the dreams that DO show up somehow .. arent exactly what I dreamed.. Like , the baby kitten showed up as an adult kitten.. I'm greatful for having these premonition type dreams.. but I'm not sure which ones will come true and which wont..

One day I dreamed of being in the back of a garbage truck which in my dream looked more like a dump truck with a trash compactor on it .. but anyway .. I was being crunched up with all the trash around me and all I could see was my parents in front of me , just out of harms way.. They were looking at me as if they knew it was the last time they would see me and I couldnt get away from the situation I was in .. I just embraced death and asked for it not to hurt as the darkness consumed my vision and I woke up....
When I went outside I saw a blue dumptruck parked directly outside of an apartment window .. very odd place.. and when I saw it was blue .. it made me think of the truck in my dream.. I'm not sure if I saw the color of it in my dream but the size was pretty accurate and even the location was pretty accurate.. it was like in my dream I was in that dumptruck.. by that apartment window .. but of course no trash compactor and no junk in it's trunk.. heh..

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could I dunno.. work on this ability in some way?  My dreams so far have never been exactly like how they show up during the day but they are happening too often for me to not think they arent premonition-like...
