my question is about a recurring dream for the past year. i'm in high school and i can't find my locker, can't remember the combination to my lock or my class schedule. last night i did remember the combination in the dream 10-43-10, but usually i can't remember it. (btw, high school for me was about 20 years ago, so i definitely do not want to relive those days!)
my dream dictionary says "dream of being in school suggest reluctance to break old associations is retarding your progress".
any further insights for this dream are much appreciated.

I have a similar recurring dream, except in mine I never graduated from high school and I have to complete it.
I'd guess there is a meaning to your dream, something you're trying to learn. Let's see ... you've been assigned something to do (class), but you don't remember it (class schedule), so you're trying to unlock a memory (locker) so you can complete that task. Maybe class is symbolic of your life. Maybe the class schedule is symbolic of goals you had before, goals you had that you wanted to complete in this life - but when you came here you forgot. You've finally managed to begin to access memories that had been locked away (you've come to this site, for instance, you've acknowledged that this dream has meaning, you're looking for answers).
I used to have high school dreams alot, the usual stuff can't find locker, don't know combination, sitting in class without books, etc.. I have had so many if i do dream of high school I think that I don't need more schooling or classes and I immediately move in to a different dream. I don't know how many dreams I've had telling the security company I worked for 20 years ago that "I can't come in for a shift, I haven't worked there for over 20 years." Weird.
Dreams about school are pretty common
I havent been in primary school for over 10 years now,
and I still have dreams about it now and then.
Funny thing is: our schools dont have lockers :)
so that theme never occurs to me.
I rarely dream about higher education however, for some reason ...
