Just hoping anyone out there may be acquainted with having a recurring dream of going through a gigantic house.  The house is different each time, but it always has huge hallways with lots of doors.  The dream is not totally lucid as I am not 100% aware it is a dream.  But it is very vivid.  In the latest dream, I was with someone else and we were actually under the impression there was danger that we could come upon, as we were carrying weapons.  We did not find any, however.  But we were going through this house methodically, room to room, looking for what, I don't know.  Anybody have and ideas?

Thanks,
Don

Hello Don,

According to Jung the big, ever changing house represents your own and unique self. I may add that these dreams come forth when we are at the threshold of some profound inner discovery.

good luck,

Thanks very much, upstream, for your reply.  Funny thing is, today this very explanation came to me from some type of spontaneous, telepathic (can't think of a better word) communication with someone or some being a day before reading your reply.  This may seem very off the wall, but I will relay the story in case anyone might be interested.

I was told via this communication the dream signified the searching by my "flesh-mind" (aka, the physical/chemical conscious/subconscious mind we operate with day by day and store "flesh" memories in while in this fleshly form) for something once known to me by spirit.  Prior to birth, while still in spirit, this was planned by me for myself.  The flesh-mind, having not memory of this foreplan, however, seemed to pick up the "hints" and relayed acknowledgement of these via dreams.  But, as with most "hints" in life, it did not have the full story.  In my case, it knew there was something to be found and, thus, the dream.  In a figure of speech, there weren't any clouds in the sky, but it could smell the rain.

I'll not relay any more of the details as most of them will only apply to and be understood by me.  But I welcome any further response and comment!

Thanks again, upstream, for confirming for me and being so insightful.

Hello Don,

you may find this process useful if you want to exercise with the high-tech version of Jung's famous active imagination:

Thanks again, upstream.  I'll give those techniques a try.
